Your edits constitute vandalism. I suggest you have a read of the content I was removing. It is inflammatory and completely unnecessary, and violates multiple policies. [[Special:Contributions/94.4.123.182|94.4.123.182]] ([[User talk:94.4.123.182|talk]]) 22:49, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

RTV

  • Note that the right to vanish - which you claimed to be blocked in the first place - is not intended for temporary retirements. It is not intended for messing around. It is not intended for people sitting on the fence. If you want to leave again, leave properly and by your own volition, because I highly doubt that RTV will be extended to you again - and if it is, I seriously doubt whether you'll be unblocked if you come back after that. Ironholds (talk) 23:47, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I understand, thanks. My76Strat (talk) 23:48, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I unblocked you because it seemed you had not really been "vanished" (that is, a bureaucrat didn't change your user name to "vanished user X" or something similar, as far as I can tell). So the vanishing process was not completed. If you had been actually vanished, you would have to create a new account and all your original edits from this account would be linked to the new account.
That said, I have also restored the user rights you had when you retired. ~Amatulić (talk) 23:55, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, thank you for that. I think the only thing that might be proper would be to restore my original user page which was deleted. I only say this if it is more proper. Otherwise I am fine with the one I have. Also, Amatulic, I started to thank you on your page, but here is fine as well. I did want to especially thank you for extending a welcome back in your response. That small gesture is a huge part of why I wanted to return. Because I think there are plenty of decent people just like you, who I am happy to associate with. My76Strat (talk) 00:03, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Page restored. Welcome back! Salvio Let's talk about it! 00:22, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

My76Strat, you can restore any version of your user page you want. Just go into the page history, edit the version you want, and save it. ~Amatulić (talk) 00:25, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind, I see you did that already. I see why I was confused; I didn't realize the page had been deleted and you had no access to the revision history. Thanks Salvio. ~Amatulić (talk) 00:28, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

My76Strat, it's nice to see you here again, but because you had told me you wouldn't be returning, I will not be entertaining any future requests for vanishing. I wish you could have thought things through ten days ago rather than trying to leave but changing your mind after already having been blocked. Given that this is not the first time you have un-retired, I strongly suggest that next time you a) don't try RfA again, and b) stick with any decision you make. Real life can't be so boring that you have to return to Wikipedia. /ƒETCH COMMS / 02:22, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for my errors. It will not happen again. I will follow your advice, and real life is not boring. It just happens that Wikipedia is part of my real life. My76Strat (talk) 14:28, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

I'm glad to see you back. Ryan Vesey Review me! 00:23, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to second that thought. I offered you my condolences before you RTVd, but I think you missed it. You're a great editor strat, with a lot of care for the community. If you ever feel you've had enough again, consider having a chat with me first :) WormTT · (talk) 01:02, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Glad you reconsidered. Welcome back. :) You're an asset to Wikipedia, so this to thank you for sticking around.

Welcome back and consider a wikibreak

I was just reading WT:RfA reform 2011 and heard that you considered leaving, but welcome back. Although many busy editors have been quitting, the decline is not in an actual "free fall" but rather, the user-statistics data seems to indicate the current 3700 highly active editors will fall to a bottom core of 3400 remaining editors to create the "future" Wikipedia, until more dedicated editors arrive. Along with those 3400 busy editors, another 35,000 editors (per month) are dabbling along with just a few edits per month.

Ships at the Port of Miami, Florida.

Template:J know that over 143,000 registered users have been actively editing Wikipedia in recent months, so there are many people who can help fix problems (see current: Special:Statistics). In fact, the August rush of article creators has (re-)arrived, and we are gaining over 950 new articles each day, on schedule to have 4 million English articles by June/July 2012. Plus, the total of all-language Wikipedias will reach 20 million articles in a few months (help translate between languages). Meanwhile, feel free to go on a WP:Wikibreak if you need to travel, or venture out on a research trip, etc. Many people return to Wikipedia in August, so it is a good time to take a break, while many others arrive to help with the overall workload. -Wikid77 (talk) 07:46, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A bowl of strawberries for you!

Thanks for the support at User talk:Reaper Eternal. I've been involved in a number of edits over the last few weeks that have literally caused me to wonder if I accidentally logged into Bizarro Wikipedia. Your comment means more than you might realize. Your post helps convince me I'm not alone. SPhilbrickT 21:08, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I love strawberries and that plate looks to contain a rather scrumptious variety. I should like to add that I remember commenting at your RfA that the only downside I could imagine was if somehow becoming an admin might cause you to elevate away from the sensible approach you had demonstrated until that time. I am glad to say all of those concerns have been alleviated. My76Strat (talk) 21:46, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
