The 2011 Tour was a concert tour by American rock band Tool.[1]
In late September 2010, it was revealed that Tool would be headlining New Zealand and Australia's Big Day Out Festival in early 2011,[2] and confirmed two headline shows in Brisbane, and Melbourne.[3] In November 2010, the band confirmed a Hawaii show in Honolulu.[4]
Kirk Hammett of Metallica joined Tool, at their show in Honolulu. Kirk jammed out with Tool on Lateralus, which then went into a portion of Metallica‘s Orion, then back to the ending of Lateralus.[5]
Jeff Friedl of Ashes Divide, and Jason Johnston of Jakob joined Tool, at their headline show in Melbourne, and playing Lateralus, with Metallica's Orion snippet.[6]
Till Lindemann, Christoph Schneider and Paul Landers of Rammstein joined Tool in Adelaide at their Big Day Out show. Schneider played a brief drum solo with Danny Carey before Till stormed the stage and lit Schneider's drumkit on fire.[7][8]
