Bhaluka (Bengali: ভালুকা) is an Upazila of Mymensingh District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Geography

Bhaluka is located at 24°22′30″N 90°22′40″E / 24.3750°N 90.3778°E / 24.3750; 90.3778; It has 53222 units of house hold and total area 444.05 km².It is bounded by Fulbaria and Trishal upazilas on the north, Sreepur upazila on the south, Gaffargaon upazila on the east and Sakhipur and Ghatail upazilas on the west.

Demographics

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Bhaluka has a population of 264991. Males constitute are 51.08% of the population, and females 48.92%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 137860. Bhaluka has an average literacy rate of 24.1% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]

Administrative

Bhaluka has 11 Unions/Wards, 87 Mauzas/Mahallas, and 102 villages.

Many Scholar born in Bhaluka like Mr. Ashraf Uddin Khan (Chand Mia Master ) (Ex. Teacher, Paruldia praimary school ,At Rajoy Union,)He was born at established family village at paruldia . His father is late julmot ali khan was famous in the Bhaluka ,Gaforgon and sreepur upa-zilla. Mr. Ashraf was born 31 December-1945, He was a social worker at Bhaluka upazilla. He was founded and donated so many school and college like Paruldia primary school , Jamira para high school , Paruldia Hafizia Madarasa, He was died At his own village house on 11 June -2010 Friday at 4.00 pm . He has 5 sons and 2 doughtier . They also established in their own position .
