Someone keeps putting "(Japan)" in the captions for the pictures of the X7 and X8 Cressidas although the X8 CLEARLY has NSW plates... It should be "(Australia)." Why is it Japan? |

Cressida & Lexus Connection
"The Cressida also played a large part in the design of the first Lexus models[citation needed], most closely resembling the LS 400. Many parts and ideas from the Cressida were carried over into the original Lexus models[citation needed], which is why these cars look so similar."
I think this statement is highly inaccurate. The Toyota F1 project (which was the code name for the Lexus LS) was started in 1983 and finished in 1989 with the release of the first LS400/Celsior. Any parts shared from the 1989 Cressida (MX83) and the LS400 would have been Toyota using ideas and parts developed from the F1 project for the Cressida, not the other way around as implied by the writer of that paragraph.
can someone make an automobile info box for this article?
Hi, can someone put an automobile info box in this article with a picture? I can't figure out how to do it.
The Cressida is similar to a Dodge Dynasty. Whoever keeps putting this up is completely wrong.
