:::::There's no way this should be added. Only one news source is claiming this. The other sites are simply posting that FOX made this claim. Furthermore, the majority of articles covering FOX's segment are poking fun at how ridiculous Eric Bolling's remarks are. FOX claims that everything coming out of Hollywood is part of the "liberal media," and I don't think there's any reason to add this. I'm open to discussing this further, but I'm taking a firm stance against adding this. --[[User:TravisBernard|TravisBernard]] ([[User talk:TravisBernard|talk]]) 18:58, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Cameos

Please only write cameos that have been confirmed. So far, only Black, Galifianakis or however you spell his name, Van Damme, Glover, Trejo, Crystal and Arkin have been confirmed. There are no legitimate sources for Eden, Stewart, Penn, Broderick, Perry or Gaga, so please stop adding them. - Jasonbres (talk) 15:43, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Images and New Short Preceding the Film

The official Muppets movie logo has been posted, and can be found on the Muppets film page on the Muppets Wiki. I say it should be put on this article. Also, it's been confirmed that a "Toy Story" short will be preceding the movie. There's a link to the website saying this also on the Muppet movie page of the Muppets wiki. 24.191.118.4 (talk) 02:07, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The picture can be seen here and the article about the Toy Story short here. 24.191.118.4 (talk) 16:32, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done, and done. J.Severe (talk) 00:40, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Copy?

This page looks very much like a copy of Muppet Wiki's page on it. Shouldn't we not copy stuff from elsewhere?--Portyot70000 (talk) 02:18, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm currently working on a series of broad revisions for this page, and I'll cross reference this page to make sure the information is original. Thanks. --TravisBernard (talk) 19:41, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Broad Revisions

I've been working on a series of broad revisions for the article, which can be found here. This wiki article was litterally copy/pasted from Wikia, and most of the information is not sourced. Much of my time was spent verfiying sources, but a summary of the other edits can be found below:

  • Updated infobox.
  • Reworked and sourced intro paragraph.
  • Switched premise section to plot and rewrote plot.
  • Moved "Cameo guest stars" above "Muppet performers" in casting section.
  • Verified sources in production section. Removed non-sourced information and supplemented sourced information.
  • Removed unverified information from the release section. Trimmed down marketing section to comply with MOS:Film standards.
  • Added over 20 new sources to improve credibility of article.

I'd love to get some feedback before implementing the edits. Thanks. --TravisBernard (talk) 14:10, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

My sole concern here was the cast section (lots of rumors and some vandalism adding various unconfirmed cameos). That section of your proposed version looks good to me. - SummerPhD (talk) 17:05, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the feedback. I'll update that section, and wait to see if anyone else has feedback on the rest of my revisions. Also, I added Kristen Schael to the list. I found a source that confirmed that she was in the film. I'm going to start a new section on this page for cameo appearances because I feel like this might start to get a little out of hand in the coming months. Thanks again! --TravisBernard (talk) 20:12, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and made all of the edits because I was having some issues with the different references. I had deleted several of the references in my version because they were no longer active links. Let's keep the conversation going about these edits. Also, does the last "Green with Envy poster" image look right? I don't have a lot of experience with images, and I was worried there was something off about it. I reduced the size by 50px, so hopefully that should be good. Should we just remove it from the article? I don't think it adds much, and the words convey the message fine. Is an image really necessary here? --TravisBernard (talk) 20:49, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cameo speculation

I'm putting together a list of cameo rumors so that users don't add these without first double checking the source:

  • Eddie Pepitone - He's in one of the spoof trailers, but he has not been confirmed to be in the film.
  • Ken Jeong
  • Rob Corddry
  • Bill Cobbs
  • Leslie Feist
  • Sarah Hyland
  • Don Johnson
  • Sterling Knight
  • Selena Gomez

Feel free to add to the list. --TravisBernard (talk) 20:23, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cameo #9 on this list is already on the article (with a proper reference). Agree with all the other ones listed here.trainfan01 talk 19:10, August 30, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, you are right. She was added some time between when I made that list and now. --TravisBernard (talk) 20:52, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New poster

Hey guys, a new one-sheet for the film just debuted on Fandango. Not a ton of sites have picked it up yet, so it might be worth waiting to upload a new version. Should we wait, or go ahead and upload a new version? --TravisBernard (talk) 14:00, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox

In the infobox, the citation for the US release date is inside the parenthesis, but it should be on the outside. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'll add the source for the UK release after we get this issue settled. --TravisBernard (talk) 18:56, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Short Film

Now that information has been released about the Toy Story short, I think it would be a good idea to include the plot synopsis in the short film section. Thoughts? --TravisBernard (talk) 18:14, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cameo column

The cameo list is very long, and I think multiple columns would work well. Does anyone know how to do this or could someone point me in the right direction? --TravisBernard (talk) 21:16, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Plot summary expansion

I am thinking that we should expand the plot summary. However, we must keep in mind that WP:FILMPLOT states that the plot summary should be 400-700 words. Anyone is welcome to expand the plot summary. Thanks, Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 03:22, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Rooney

There is no mention of Michael Rooney who is mentioned as the choreographer on the 11-23-2011 edition of Fresh Air.1archie99 (talk) 14:01, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Need some help with the plot summary...

Right now, it's at 905 words, which exceeds the guidelines for plot length at WP:FILMPLOT. We need to further reduce it to comply with the 400-700 word length per the guideline. Thanks, Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 23:50, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I saw the movie this past weekend. I'll give you a hand. --TravisBernard (talk) 22:30, 30 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Muppets are communists?

Add the charge by Fox News to The Muppets, who claim to be communists because the villain is an oil tycoon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9cGYRz-6sQ --190.221.111.220 (talk) 02:35, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It might be controversial to add. However, we need to find a reliable source to back up the claim. Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 03:01, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
