Vandalism part 3 (brought from walter55024s talk page)
Welcome, welcome, welcome. We're in a quiet place now. I'll give you some hints and tips once I'm sure you're here :) WormTT · (talk) 12:56, 27 February 2012 (UTC) well i want to say that i am the most active in the weekends but not to active in the week but send replys soon.--Walter55024 (talk) 13:09, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- That's fine. I'm often not on wiki on weekends, but I'm always about by email. What's more, if you leave a message at my talk page, I've got friendly talk page stalkers who would be willing to lend a hand. WormTT · (talk) 13:15, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- Just to let you know that I have followed you to this quiet place but I do not intend to contribute. But Worm, you have even got me confused: what is the difference between User:Worm That Turned/Adopt/Walter55024 and this, its talk page. On which page should Walter be talking to you? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:48, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- Well, the main page is used for lessons about wikipedia, there's 8 that I do in total. This page is a talk page for me and the adoptee, along with anyone else who might come here. I'm surprised it's quite so confusing! will have to think about how to improve it. Have a look at User:Worm That Turned/Adopt, and you'll see all my current adoptees lesson pages transcluded across. to rhaworth You know i would say both but im not sure about worm.also thanks for thinking about me of not being wp;sock but everything should be a-okay.--Walter55024 (talk) 21:46, 27 February 2012 (UTC) adding i am young as you should know and i do not have a phone or anything else to write other than letter so just look more on the weekends. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Walter55024 (talk • contribs) 01:39, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- I'll get you using indents soon, I'm sure! Well, to answer your question on my talk page, I'm generally on between 8am-4pm UK times, Monday to Friday. I do a little editing outside of that, but it's not significant. I'm afraid that will mean that you'll have to learn a little patience. There's lots to do while I'm not around, you can read ahead on the lessons, answer any questions that I might have left for you or even just generally read wikipedia articles. Worst case scenario, send me an email using Special:EmailUser/Worm That Turned. WormTT · (talk) 11:03, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
well can you come on to the internet on the weekend?--Walter55024 (talk) 11:53, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- Can't guarantee it. I've just moved house and have a lot of work to do on it, decorating, replacing a bathroom and all sorts - I'm afraid Wikipedia is just a website at the end of the day and it's much more important to concentrate on real life. The moment you forget that, is the moment it becomes unhealthy to use Wikipedia. WormTT · (talk) 11:58, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
is it okay for cloveapple to come in to our diccuion?--Walter55024 (talk) 12:02, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- Everyone you invite is welcome here. WormTT · (talk) 12:04, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
do you want split up george lopez seasons 1-6?--Walter55024 (talk) 12:14, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- Do I want to? No, I've never heard of George Lopez! The people to talk to would be at the article (or list's) talk page. However, I assume you're talking about List of George Lopez episodes and I don't really see a need to split it up - most television series have list of articles in that format. If I were you, I'd focus more on getting through the adoption course in the short term, it'll help you understand what we do on the encyclopedia, and also how best to communicate with people. WormTT · (talk) 12:23, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
let me ask you a few questions why was spongebob squarepants (season 9),the fairlyoddparents (season 9) and icarly (season 6) deleted and redirected?--Walter55024 (talk) 12:34, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- Certainly.
- SpongeBob SquarePants (season 9)
- Went thought an AFD - Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/SpongeBob SquarePants (season 9) because it has not yet been broadcast and did not meet the sourcing requirements, notability requirements and coverage required by the Notability policy for future films/tv shows. Basically, we don't know anything more than "there is going to be a season 9" and so there is no way that the article can written, nor the subject notable yet. I'm sure we will have one in the future, but not at the moment. See also "Wikipedia is not a crystal ball"
- The Fairly OddParents (season 9)
- Redirect for exactly the same reasons as Spongebob
- ICarly (season 6)
- Redirect for exactly the same reasons as Spongebob
- SpongeBob SquarePants (season 9)
- Hope that answers everything. WormTT · (talk) 12:43, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
what stuff could be fixed in the future?--Walter55024 (talk) 12:55, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- Generally, there's an awful lot to fix on wikipedia. Hundreds of thousands of pages in WP:BACKLOG for example! If you're specifically referring to those articles you asked about, they can all be recreated once they've premiered and there are reliable sources out there that discuss them. WormTT · (talk) 13:10, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- Remember that category that has aviation articles that don't yet have infoboxes, Worm? I still consider it one of the easiest places to start. With some supervision! --Demiurge1000 (talk) 01:07, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- I think we're a few steps away from that at the moment, but I'll keep it in mind! WormTT · (talk) 10:52, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

You know i have noticed RHaworth talking to you on a diffrent page could you tell him to talk here?--Walter55024 (talk) 22:27, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- RHaworth is depicted in this picture. (He only looks like this during the winter, though). Similar to a wampa, he tends to spend a lot of time in his lair dealing with matters of interest to ice monsters; you can't really just summon him to random talk pages unless there's something specific that he needs to deal with there. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 01:07, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- Just as Demiurge mentions, the all seeing RHaworth is watching this page, I'm sure. I don't know that he'll be commenting though, unless whatever happens interests him.WormTT · (talk) 10:52, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- Just FYI, I've been invited here. Dunno why though... Steven Zhang DR goes to Wikimania! 23:53, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
- I wasn't invited, but I found the door open so I kind of wandered in. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 01:07, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
well feel free to talk to the other people that has been invited here.--Walter55024 (talk) 00:00, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- I'm not really sure how I can be of assistance here. Steven Zhang DR goes to Wikimania! 00:11, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
you know just talk to other people that has been invited.--Walter55024 (talk) 00:30, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- Incidentally, have you checked out the WP:TEAHOUSE? That's a better place for chatting to lots of people about editing.. do be careful with sending out too many invites to this particular talk page, unless the person really shows an interest to begin with. People on Wikipedia sometimes get irritated unexpectedly. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 01:07, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- Remember the purpose of Wikipedia is to build an encyclopedia, this page isn't a chat room, it isn't here to create some consensus or come up with ideas or anything of the sort - it's meant to help you learn about the encyclopedia. I welcome anyone here who wants to help with that - but the focus is on you, Walter, and you need to focus on learning. WormTT · (talk) 10:52, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
test part 1
hey worm can i try again on your test?--Walter55034 (talk) 12:47, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
Some advice on the test for the first lesson
Don't try to hurry tests. Remember every single question will need you to think about the question, think about what is being asked, and think about the possible answers and how they relate to what you know about WP:5P. (So for example you might need to re-read one question, then re-read WP:5P with that question in mind, then think about that, then try the question). It's fine to do one or two questions a day, then continue the next day; you don't have to do them all at once. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 01:07, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- And working hard on these tests will help you learn to be an awesome editor so that you will be able to edit the Spongebob articles you care about. Cloveapple (talk) 06:16, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- Both very true points. I've had adoptees take a week over each test - there's nothing wrong with that. And we all want you to be a great editor! WormTT · (talk) 08:22, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
A few questions for Walter
Hi Walter. I've been having a think about where you're going wrong (and I'm afraid to say, you are going wrong) and I was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me. I think the insight we get from your answers may help us all understand how you think and what benefits you can bring to the encyclopedia. WormTT · (talk) 10:41, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- Q - In your own words, how do you think Wikipedia is different to an offline encyclopedia, like Encyclopedia Brittanica
- A -i think its the editing.
- Yes, that's right. The biggest difference is that anyone can edit wiki. That means that Wikipedia is always changing and that it is much larger than an offline encyclopedia. It also means that we don't have the same level of checking, so "facts" on wikipedia can be wrong, which brings us on to the next point.
- okay.

- A -i think its the editing.
- Q - How can we be sure that Wikipedia has correct information - that the editors who add stuff aren't just making it up?
- A - because when it premires it is true.
- No. Certainly not. We're not just talking about future information, but old stuff too. If I were to go to the Barack Obama article and add "Barack Obama is the brother of George W. Bush", it isn't true just because I write it. To make sure that we get things right at wikipedia, only ever report what other people - who we can trust - have already said. So, to add the comment about Barack Obama, I would need to have a newspaper report covering it, or a press release from the White house or something - which of course I can't have, because they're not brothers. Do you see?
- A - because when it premires it is true.
- yes
- Q - What do you like about Wikipedia? Why are you here?
- A -i thought it would be good.
- Q - What did you think would be good about it?
- A -the editing.
- Q - What did you think would be good about it?
- A -i thought it would be good.
- Q - I see your dad changed the password for Walter55000, why did he do that and do your parents know that you are still editing Wikipedia?
- A -no he does not.
- Q -Can I ask why your dad changed the password then? Does he not want you to edit wikipedia?
- A -i did ask him to change the password but i changed my mind.
- Q - Ok, final question on this. Why haven't you told him that you started editing again?
- A -because if i did he would prob. delete it.--Walter55024 (talk) 13:09, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
