Ek Nath Dhakal (b. 13 August 1974 in Gorkha District) is a Nepalese politician, belonging to the Nepal Pariwar Dal, and a leader of the Unification Church.[1] He is the head of the Nepal chapter of the Universal Peace Federation.[2]

In the 2008 Constituent Assembly election, the Nepal Pariwar Dal won 1 seat through the Proportional Representation vote.[3] The party selected Dhakal as its representative in the assembly.[4]

Dhakal received his formal education from the Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu, where he studied political science for two years followed by three years of study in sociology and anthropology. He is married to Blessie Gadon Dhakal, who is from the Philippines. The couple has five children.[5]

On October 31, 2010, the magazine Nepal Weekly published by Kantipur Publications criticized Dhakal for the arrangements surrounding Vice President Parmanand Jha's visit to South Korea on October 7, 2010.[6] Dhakal has also been criticized for not returning his diplomatic passport after trips abroad.[7] Dhakal serves in the Constitutional Committee of the Constituent Assembly.
