Plim Plim

Plim Plim is an argentine animated TV series created by Smilehood, issued by Disney Junior for all Latin America. The pre-release was on September the 21st, 2011 and its definitive release was on October the 1st of the same year. This animated series has 7 minutes long chapters and it promotes human values such as solidarity, honesty, responsibility, early habits and respect for the environment. This series is inspired from, and based on the teachings of His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the founder of The Art Of Living organization and a well known spiritual master.

This story narrates the adventures of Plim Plim, a child with clown, hero and magician´s features. Plim Plim accompanies his friends and always teaches with examples about positive values and the care of our planet. "Plim Plim the Clown, heart's Hero" makes particular focus on the essence of each of these values. The product analyzes its differences and reinforces them to make a simple, direct and effective teaching, keeping a dynamic balance between learning and entertainment.

Plim Plim helps his friends whenever they face situations that can't be resolved at school and carries them to a magical world where they can have fun and learn too. Plim Plim is a generous, courageous and enthusiastic child. His stories has fable format and include visual and musical quotes, generating a multi-target content which also includes parents and teachers.

A new musical style was created for this series. It´s called FunKids and it's a mix of different rhythms and styles such as funk, circus and Balkan's music.

Characters in the series

Magical characters

Plim Plim: He is a 5 year old child with features of a clown, a hero and a magician. He is the only human in this story. He appears magically from a magical space-time. He is generous, courageous, enthusiastic and well-intentioned. His characteristical phrase: “Of course you do!”.

Wichiwichi Wichiwi: He is a little bird, the Plim Plim's partner and messenger. Their language sounds like his name, but whistled. He carries messages to Plim Plim and belongs to the same magical world. Nobody knows how he comes or how he goes. He is the link between Plim Plim and the children and he´s always interacting with them. Sometimes he is a bit clumsy.

Tuni: This character is a magical transport. The children joy is his food. He is a car who can transform into an airplane, a helicopter, a boat, a submarine or an adventure machine, according to the needing of the challenge.

Another characters

Nesho: He is a 4 years old elephant. His name has oriental origins. He is intellectual, deductive, intelligent, structured, orderly but slow and he has a great memory. His favorite instrument is the tuba. His characteristic phrase: “How interesting!”.

Bam: He is a 4 years old bear. He is sweet, cute, fun and very sensorial. His name has Latin origins. His favorite instrument is the drum. His characteristic phrase: “Delicious!”.

Acuarella: She is a small 4 year old rabbit who loves the art. She is cheerful, imaginative, dreamy and amorous, although she is a bit absent-minded, forgetful and uses to lose the concentration easily. Her name has European origins. Her favorite instrument is the xylophone. Her characteristic phrase: “I love it!”.

Mei-Li: She is a 4 years old cat. She is coquette, dynamic, athletic and vigorous but she is also a bit anxious. She does everything fastly. Her name has Chinese origins and it means "beautiful". Her favorite instrument is the keytar. Her characteristic phrase: “Yes! Yaahh! Yaahh! Yaahh!”.

Hoggie: He is a 4 years old pig, who likes to contradict everybody. He is characterized by being moody, grumpy and selfish. His name has an Anglo-Saxon origin and means "pig" in English. He is a good athlete and musician. His favorite instrument is the saxophone. His characteristic phrase: “Me neither”.

Arafa: She is a giraffe and she is 25 years old. She is a sweet, comprehensive and motherly teacher. She is the only adult in the story. Her name means "giraffe" in Swahili (African ethnia). She brings a fee of wisdom and motherly care. Her favorite phrase: “Good luck!”.

Sun: He sees everything it happens and follows the actions of the characters with his gestures.

The creators

Guillermo Pino and Claudio Pousada are the creators of the series. Both of them have vast experience in TV production and creative design. They founded Smilehood with the main idea of promoting human values and positive messages through their products.

Plim Plim´s fans

Plim Plim has a Fan Page on Facebook with more than 55,000 fans figure that continues to increase, with an average of 260 new fans per day. From there you provide quality content for children and parents, as activities, games, quizzes, greeting cards and postcards. The material is shared by users who mostly come from Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Chile.
