The University of British Columbia founded a medical school in 1950. The school is based in [[Vancouver]]. Two new undergraduate medical campuses were established at the [[University of Victoria]] in [[Victoria, British Columbia|Victoria]] and the [[University of Northern British Columbia]] in [[Prince George, British Columbia|Prince George]] that opened in 2004. A fourth medical campus was established at the [[University of British Columbia Okanagan]] in [[Kelowna]] in 2011.
UBC offers 57 clinical specialties and subspecialties at the undergraduate and/or graduate level programs. The faculty has 15 departments and 1 school of medicine.

The UBC Faculty of Medicine is the medical school of the University of British Columbia, and is one of 17 medical schools in Canada and the only one in British Columbia.
