|ShortSummary = On the 20th of March, Yu and his team celebrate before his return to Tokyo, where he also receives a letter. Strangely, the next day Yu seems to be reliving the previous day's events. During the party however, he sees that the letter is from Adachi from prison, who suspects that there is more to the case than anyone realizes, citing the original rumors about the Midnight Channel. Yu and the others attempt to discover the source of the rumors when he begins to trace his memories back to his arrival in Inaba, but he then starts to relive the 20th yet again. Frantically, he asks Nanako what happened on that first day when she remembers his conversation with the gas station attendant at Moel. When Yu leaves to confront him, it is revealed that "he" is [[List of Persona 4 characters#Izanami|Izanami]], and that she gave the power to enter the TV to Adachi, Namatame, and Yu. Izanami explains The Midnight Channel as a "window" meant to accommodate people's desires to both reveal their true selves and uncover the secret lives of others, as she concludes that humanity is content living in a world of illusion and fog. Izanami then threatens Yu with the truth that he's been suppressing, the fact that he and his team have already confronted the goddess, and that Yu witnessed his friends being swallowed up by Izanami's Thousand Curses. In denial, Yu chooses to repeat March 20th again and again, until Margaret appears to literally slap him out of his trance, and uses her Persona Compendium to summon Helel to attack. |

Before Yu is hit by Helel's Maragidyne, Sraosha summons itself to protect him, while Yu hears the voice of Nanako cheering him. The bonds of the people that Yu met in Inaba, and the Personae they represent, defend him against Margaret's attacks, as their voices thank him and urge him forward. As the battle climaxes, a mountain of TVs appear, showing Yu his suppressed fear of moving away and losing his friends: his Shadow. Yu admits to his feelings and accepts his Shadow, which returns to being Izanagi, who deals the final blow against Helel. In the aftermath, Margaret tells Yu that win or lose, he will never be alone again, and returns the Orb of Sight to him. |

Persona 4: The Animation (ペルソナ4, Perusona Fō, stylized in Japan as "P4 Persona4 the ANIMATION") is based on the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 video game by Atlus. Produced by AIC A.S.T.A. and directed by Seiji Kishi,[1] Persona 4: The Animation revolves around Yu Narukami, a second year high school student from a city who moves to Inaba to live for a year with his uncle and cousin. After acquiring a mysterious power called "Persona", he embarks on a journey with his new friends to uncover the truth behind a bizarre series of murders involving the distorted TV World, as well as a phenomenon called the "Midnight Channel".
The main opening themes for the series are "sky's the limit", sung by Shihoko Hirata, for the first half (episodes 1 to 12), and "key plus words" sung by Hirata featuring Yumi Kawamura for the second half (episodes 13 to 22). The final 3 broadcast episodes did not have an opening theme. The main ending themes for the series are "Beauty of Destiny", sung by Hirata featuring Lotus Juice (episodes 1 to 12), and "The Way of Memories (Kizuna no Chikara)" (The Way of Memories -キズナノチカラ-, subtitle literally "The Power of Bonds"), sung by Hirata for the second half (episodes 14 to 23). Episodes 22 and 24 did not utilize ending themes.
In contraction to these songs, several other songs have been used in the series for openings and endings. The first episode broadcast utilized "Pursuing My True Self", the opening theme from the original video game, as its opening, with "sky's the limit" as the ending; this was changed to the standard opening and ending themes in the director's cut in the home media editions. Episode 9 had the unique opening theme "True Story" sung by Rie Kugimiya as her character Rise Kujikawa. Episode 13 had a unique ending in the form of "Koisuru Meitantei" (恋する名探偵, lit. "The Love Detective") sung by Yui Horie as the show-within-a-show character Loveline (ラブリーン, Raburīn). Episode 15 had a unique opening theme, using the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 opening theme "Burn My Dread", performed by Kawamura. Episode 18 had a unique ending, utilizing the new song "Honto no Kimochi" (ほんとのきもち, lit. "True Feelings"), performed by Hirata. Episode 25 utilized "Never More", the ending theme song from the video game, performed by Hirata, as the ending theme.
