Studio Roosegaarde is the social design lab of artist Daan Roosegaarde based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. With his team of designers and engineers he has made several internationally acclaimed interactive artworks such as Dune, Intimacy 2.0, Lotus and Smart Highway
The studio develops its own technology and has been the focus of many international shows such as in Hong Kong, Venice Biennale, Tate Modern and Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Tokyo National Museum. Besides exhibitions in museums, the studio is working on large-scale installations in architecture and public space, such as Sensor Valley in Assen and developing their own ‘in-house’ productions such as Liquid Space 6.1. In 2011 Studio Roosegaarde opened its second studio in Shanghai, China.
