After his degrees at the Conservatory of Milan, Italy, he was selected at the prestigious Lake Como International Piano Association where he studied with William Grant Naboré, Dimitri Bashkirov, Laurent Boullet, Fou Ts'ong, Dominique Merlet, John Perry, Menahem Pressler, Andreas Staier.

Concert activity

He performed in Europe (Italy, Belgium, France, Germany, UK, Poland, Slovakia, Russia) and Argentina, Colombia e United States.

Prizes

In 1996 he won the 1er Prix, 1er Nommé de la discipline piano classique, degré virtuiosité in Paris, Rueil-Malmaison[2].

Other prices include in 2005 the 5° prize at the Gina Bachauer International Young Artists Competition[3], in 2009 the John Giordano Jury Chairman Discretionary Award (4.000$) at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Fort Worth, Texas[4], in 2010, the 2° price at the Isang Yun Competition, Tongyeong, South Korea[5]. In 2013 he is the unique competitor to return at The Cliburn as a competitor; his exclusion from the final round was largely criticized by the critic[6][7]; he was awarded with the Raymond E. Buck Jury Discretionary Award ($4,000). After few days from his exclusion he voluntarily retired from the Cleveland International Piano Competition by which he was selected as unique Italian pianist.[8].
