The 2007 FIBA Africa Championship was hosted by Angola from August 15 to August 25, 2007. The games were played in Benguela, Lubango, Cabinda, Huambo and Luanda.

At stake was a place in the 2008 Summer Olympics basketball tournament for the winning nation, and entry to the wildcard competition for the second and third place nations.
