The Constitution Party of New Mexico is an affiliate party of the national Constitution Party.[1] The party supports strict adherence to the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the New Mexico Constitution. The party takes very conservative stances on social and fiscal issues.

On November 25, 2013, the party took legal action against New Mexico Secretary of State Dianna J. Duran seeking to retain qualified party status after she failed to follow several sections of the state election law.[2][3]
