:Thanks for all that text, but where does that come from? As per Wikipedia policy we can't add substantive text like that without citing a reference. Also the manufacturer may not currently publish a price, but we have a ref cited that specifies a 2011 price. I'll add the ref to that so it is clear where it came from. We can replace that cited information if there is a newer published price, otherwise we have to go with the most recent published price. - Ahunt (talk) 12:13, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

This text come from actual aproved "Flight Manual" for the sailplane SZD-54-2 "Perkoz" but this document is not hosted anywhere in internet and i doubt it will be "officialy" published in future. I am using sometimes wikipedia as a source of informations for my projects and i see now it provides false data and description and i can't trust it anymore. Incorrect data

Hello. I suggest to revise this article according to http://www.easa.europa.eu/certification/type-certificates/docs/aircraft/EASA-TCDS-A.574_Allstar_SZD--54_Perkoz-01-20112013.pdf — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.253.225.54 (talk) 06:26, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Design description and unit cost

SZD-54-2 „Perkoz” is a two-seat sailplane, designated for primary schooling and training, including basic, and advanced aerobatics, and cloud flying, at the range approved by the operational regulations. SZD-54-2 sailplane’s structures are made mainly of glass-epoxy composites, but for some components (i.e. exchangeable wing tips, canopy frame) carbon-epoxy laminates have been applied. Fuselage of the monocoque type structure , is integrated with a fin. Pilots cockpit have tandem seats arrangement, and is covered by one-piece canopy made of plexiglass, side-opening to the right side. Emergency jettison mechanism of the canopy is located on canopy frame, at the right hand side. The canopy is equipped with a “Röger hook” arrangement. Pilots, at both cabins have “normal” seating positions. Front seat, back rest is not adjustable, when the rear cabin back rest, may be adjusted on ground (vertical direction and the pedals distance). Front cabin pedals - adjusted in-flight, the rear seat pedals are fixed. Both pilots cabins, are equipped with additional back cushions (not fixed to pilots rest) - to enhance comfort for small pilots, and with 5-point safety harness. Single wheel main landing gear, is amortized, and has hydraulic brake systems. Nose and tail wheels, are not sprung, and there are no brakes mechanism. Laminar, two parts wing (based on NN-8 airfoil, well known from the SZD-59 Jantar-Acro sailplane), of the tapered outline, have detachable wing tips - plane for Category U and A, or winglets (Category U only). Wing structure - glass-epoxy shell “sandwich”, with the single wing main spar, made also of glass fiber - roving reinforced composites. Two-plate air brakes, are extended from the upper wing surface only. Ailerons of the 20 % chord ratio, have also, a glass-epoxy “sandwich” structure. Tailplane of the conventional arrangement, has the horizontal tailplane shifted slightly to the rear. Stabilizers, fin and elevator, are of sandwich structures. Elevator is mass balanced. Carbon-epoxy composite rudder, has the aerodynamic and mass balance – “horn type” arrangements. Inside a fin, an antenna for radio transceiver is provided. Instrument panel is located at the front pilot cabin (optional, second panel at the rear cabin may be installed). Efficient cockpit venting is ensured by the “nose” inlet conducted air to the front cabin nozzle by the adjustable valve. Additional vent air may be supplied by the side windows deflectable ventilation tabs. Control systems: elevator, aileron and air-brakes – solved as the push-rod type. Rudder control - mixed - cable/push-rod circuit. Longitudinal trim control – spring type. Tow hook release control – actuated by the cable. Hydraulic wheel brake is activated using a Bowden cable.

Manufacturer does not publish price for SZD-54-2 "Perkoz". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.253.225.54 (talk) 06:32, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
