#Hi. I am an admin on :fr:Wikipedia. I renamed my account there a couple of days ago into ":fr:Utilisateur:Bradipus". I had asked this to Essjay but somebody created the account on the same morning. It is quite obvious that this an identity theft attempt because (i) the guy tried to steal my previous identity to confuse people and (ii) the guy created the account at the same moment in other projects such as es: and it:. I think we could wait until the single login becomes applicable, but I would prefer to get my identity back now. Thanks. Alex lbh 19:13, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Revision as of 19:15, 27 June 2006

1. Please move User:juliannamargulies to User:Debra. Thanks.--juliannamargulies 08:31, 26 April 2006 08:31
2. Please move User:Fito to User:Tiko. Thanks.--Fito 00:42, 21 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
User:Tiko already exists but has had no edits.. Secretlondon 02:56, 21 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
3. Please delete User:Havoc, this name is registered, but no contributions were made using this name. I come from the german part of the Wikipedia using this name and want to have one identity within the Wikipedia. Thank you. (I see no reason why a member(name) that only exists on paper should not be deleted for someone with the intention to use it)de:User:Havoc 12:12, 25 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
There are plans to have one sign in for all Wikipedias. This would give you one identity in Wikipedia. Someone having your name in en.wikipedia would cause problems with commons, wikisource and other cross language projects. We don't have the ability to delete user accounts anyway. Secretlondon 12:36, 25 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
But this name is not used by anyone and only exists in en:wikipedia. The Username "Havoc" in commons is registered by myself, as well as "Havoc" in MetaWiki. When there is no chance of deleting it, maybe there is a chance to assume control by editing the e-mail address of this account, it would have the same effect because i don´t have an account within the en:wikipedia, yet. de:User:Havoc 16:23, 25 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
4. Please change my name from ZZq to A. I go by this user name in many online communities such as slashdot and would like to use it here as well. User exists but does have zero edits. Thank you for considering this change. ZZq 08:46, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I'm afraid we can't take over an existing account. =Nichalp «Talk»= 12:41, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
With all respect, then what is the point of this section? ZZq 19:48, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
If and when it happens. =Nichalp «Talk»= 04:26, 3 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
5. I would like to change my current user name, User:Karol Langner (my actual full name), to User:Karol. Unfortunately, I have about 80 edits more than the 6800 limit. I hope that's not a big problem, because the change is important to me, due to privacy concerns. Karol 10:38, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
There is already a User:Karol, although they have not made any edits. If this is you, please sign in and confirm. If not, User:Karol L is available. Warofdreams talk 10:45, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think so. Before, I didn't really know how to check that, so I figured if there's no page then it's free. I then played around with the 'create account' page and realized WP creates an account even if I leave the password field blank (I created User:Karol L by mistake, sorry for that, you can delete the account)! If User:Karol is inactive, can't I take over the account? Karol 17:43, 14 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I have been editing for a month now with the username А. I would still like to have the username A, but if the policy changes I would like to have my new account (А) moved rather than this account I no longer use. ZZq 01:46, 5 January 2006 (UTC) Signed by new username: A 01:47, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
6. Please move User:AmbientArchitecture to User:Aldaron, a user that already exists but has had no edits. AmbientArchitecture 21:37, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
7. Please delete user:Brian NZ, I think that it might be trying to imitate my account Brian | (Talk) 05:58, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I've blocked it for being too similar. By the way, accounts cannot be deleted. -- King of 22:58, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
8. If this sort of thing ever does happen, I'd like to put in a request to usurp User:Miles. Thanks — Miles←☎ 05:00, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
9. Same as Ambi, User:ContiE to User:Conti, I have about 6950 edits, User:Conti is an account with no edits. Oh, and I'm an admin, dunno if I should mention that here. --Conti| 22:56, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: If you are really close to the 6,800 limit, perhaps deleting random edits on your user page/subpages/talk page may get rid of some of your edis to make it around 6,800. Just a thought. -- WB 10:48, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
10. I would like to move User:Luděk to unused (but created) account User:Ludek. I have three edits (this one is the third). I would like to have the same username as on the Czech Wikipedia, where I am a bureaucrat. --Luděk 19:54, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to duplicate my "supplication". --Luděk 19:53, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
11. I would like to be moved from User:ems2 to User:ems, account had no edits. Thanks. Ems2 20:19, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
12. I would like to have User:Etherealflaim moved to User:Eko. I created this account long ago (like, high school maybe?), but the password has vanished from my memory and the email account has long since been deleted. If Usurpations are ever done, I'd like to recover this username, as it is the username under which all of my other internet contributions (especially development and moderation) have been done, and continuity is a wonderful thing. All of my edits were actually done under an anonymous IP, and by the time I got around to registering, I was done with the research project and had nothing more to contribute, and only recently have I begun to have the desire to actively participate this community. Thanks, Etherealflaim 05:16, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
13. I would like to change my account from User:TheKMan to User:Kyle, which exists but has no edits.[1] — TheKMantalk 17:19, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
14. Hi, if possible i would like to change my account name from User:C17H19NO3 to User:Morphine, since he or she has made zero edits (see Special:Contributions/Morphine),
15. I would like to change my user name to User:Eclectophile please. Since there are no guidelines, my case can be judged individually right?  ;) You can see it was just created within the hour. And our user passwords are the same. Sorry for not reading the directions prior to jumping on the name. If you can't do it currently, could you let me know when there are guidelines? I'll keep the name w/o edits till then. Thanks for your time. Charangito 08:02, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
16. I would like to my name to be changed from Steveo2 to JaredW. If this will erase my edit count, I DON'T WANT IT DONE!!! There is no specific time I want this done by. I created the JaredW account, which has made no edits. JaredW! 12:13, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
17. I would like my name changed from User:Jard Yan Dooku to User:Jard Dooku, which is actually MY account anyways. Jard Yan Dooku 19:37, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
18. I usually go by the name Timtom in the online world, and it is also my user name in the french Wikipedia. I had to create another username here, because Timtom was already taken. However, this user has made no contributions at all, making me wonder if this is an active account. It might even be mine already and I forgot about it. Is there a possibility to contact the owner of this user to discuss this? Thanks for your help! Tguignar 12:22, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
19. I would like to change the capitalization of my username from User:Lbmixpro to User:LBMixPro. LBMixPro is the name I use for all other Wikimedia accounts. User:LBMixPro was created by me to prevent imposters and has no edits. I'm also an admin here, would this have any affect on my administrator status? --LBMixPro<Speak|on|it!> 23:11, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
20. I would dearly love to change User:Jpgordon to User:Josh. User:Josh exists but has never edited. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 00:14, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
21. I would like to change my user name from Gregmoz1 to bones1029 - thank you.
22. If at all possible, I would very much like to have my user name changed from Joke137 to Joke, an account that exists but has never edited. The 137 was added at random when I thought it didn't matter, because I wouldn't spend much time on this damn thing. I was tragically wrong. –Joke 03:15, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
23. I'd like to ask to change my username User:Nyikita to User:Nikita. When I registered in last October, I couldn't register under that name, so I used Nyikita, but now I see that User:Nikita has an edit count of zero, so I'd like to overwrite is with my username if it is possible. Thanks in advance. Nyikita 10:26, 25 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
24. If possible in the future, i would like my username changed to User:Martijn (I use that name on nl:, id:, af: and others). Username exists but only has two edits (in 2004, see here. MartijnL 12:36, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
25. user:mxdxcxnx to user:spirit. The latter account doesn't have any edits, but seems to exist. Thanks. mxdxcxnx 14:33, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
26. I would like to change my account to Slade. Slade exists, but he/she had 13 contribs in 2004. I would to change because i am Slade in all projects where i have accounts (see list), including pt, where i am a sysop. If you move the actual Slade to another login, and move my login to Slade, i thank. Please consider. --Slade T 17:08, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
We can't usurp accounts. There is no set policy in place. I'm sorry but your request cannot be fulfilled at this time. Please add your name here: /request to usurp in case in the future a policy is set in place. Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 07:25, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
27. I would like to change my account from User:Dharmabum420 to User:Dharmabum. User:Dharmabum exists, but has only a single edit nearly 4 months ago, and it was an article creation, so I suspect they registered the account only to add that one article. I'm aware there's no usurping policy in place but thought I would add my name to this list in case one is created in future. - dharmabum 00:48, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
28. I would like to change my account from User:Sarge Baldy to User:Owen. The later account has been registered for a number of years, but has no edits attributed to it. Sarge Baldy 07:32, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
29. I'd like to usurp User:Maru (no edits), from my current account of User:Marudubshinki. --maru (talk) contribs 19:33, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
30. I'd like to usurp user:Brian. No edits other than the user page in which he wrote "Error, must be delete". I left a note on his talk page regarding this. Rx StrangeLove 02:06, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
31. Please change my username User:FWBOarticle to User:Vapour. Username Vapour apparently exists but has no edit. [2] I have Vapour as my username in Japanese wikipedia, wiki common and metawiki. It is also pointed out in Buddhist related articles that my username denoting the first article I edited, FWBO, could be provocative and hence not appropriate for constructive discussion. [3] Thanks. Vapour
32. I would like to usurp the username User:Ikes, which has no edits. I had registered that name prior to my current one, but had forgotten. I would now like to use User:Ikes instead and keep my edits. I will confirm by logging in as User:Ikes. thanks. Handsome pete 16:34, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
And here i am confirming that i own this login. I hope the change can be done. thanks! ikes 16:53, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
33. I'd like to usurp User:JBJ which I own and has made few edits. --JBJ 06:35, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
34. I already requested my username Arsath to be renamed as Mystic, but you said it is not possible as the user already exists. I just checked the edit count of this user and found the user hasn't contributed at all, can we usurp this username (Mystic). Thanks in advance Mystic 14:09, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
35. I'd like to request that my alterego that I forgot I had, User:Logical2u, that I made one edit one, and I remembered the password today... usurp my current username via that funking merging procedure you guys have. At the moment, this current account User:ArdoMelnikov has much more information in it that User:Logical2u ever did... I'd do it myself, but I'm afraid I would break something. If you'd like me to do something with my Logical2u account to prove that it's me, please leave my a message on my current talk page, thanks. Logical2u 22:29, 22 April 2006 (UTC) Edit, 22:48, 7 June 2006 (UTC): Redirected Logical2u's pages to my pages, using Logical2u account. Hopefully they aren't reverted. Logical2u 22:48, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
36. Please move User:Nussknacker(means Nutcracker in German) to User:Nutcracker. Because I use the name Nutcracker in German, Chinese, Japanese, French Wikipedia, but the name in English Wikipedia is registered by another user, however the user:Nutcracker made no edits here. If the name of mine moved, it can be avoided that the friends of mine from Wikipedias in other languages send the message to the user Nutcracker here, when regarding that it were me. If feasible, many thanks. ^_* ——Nussknacker胡桃夹子^.^tell me... 14:10, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

37. If in the future that is possible, I need to usurp the User:555. In all another wikis that is my login; only at the en:wikipedia I use User:555pt (and in de:wikipedia I use User:Lugusto); and sorry for my english. 555pt | msg | msg on w:pt 15:25, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
38. Please, I need to move (usurp) user:Spectrun for User:Thrasher. In all another wikis Thrasher is my login, except in spanish and here. Thanks Spectrun 15:39, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
39. I would like to usurp Fiat Lux (talk · contribs) (not only I am prevented from using this name but also the case-variant User:Fiat lux which is unused, but was denied due to the possibility of confusion (with a non-existant user). Thatcher131 11:29, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
40. I would like to rename my account (Schmitt2) to user:Schmitt. He not made any edit and i am the owner of the account in many projects (except here, de:, fr:, meta: and commons:). Schmitt 19:31, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

45. Can you please change my username from User:Nmajdan to User:Nik? The latter username already exists but has no edits. I'm trying to get my rare last name out of my username. I already registered at the Commons with Nik. Thanks in advance.--Nmajdan 19:35, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

49. Hi. I am an admin on fr:Wikipedia. I renamed my account there a couple of days ago into "fr:Utilisateur:Bradipus". Thanks. Alex lbh 19:13, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
