History

QLogic was created in 1992 after being spun off by Emulex; the two are now competitors for the Fibre Channel HBA market. QLogic has acquired many companies over the years including Ancor, Little Mountain Group, PathScale, SilverStorm and NetXen. QLogic's original business was disk controllers.
