Baby Bowser

Baby Bowser

For full article, see Bowser

Baby Bowser is the young version of Bowser, and the final boss of Yoshi's Island. In Yoshi's Island, Baby Bowser wants to ride Yoshi, calling him a "green donkey." Baby Bowser attacks by ground-pounding the floor in his nursery, creating a ripple that causes Baby Mario to fall off of Yoshi's back. He also attempts to jump on Yoshi's back, knocking Baby Mario off. To defeat him, Yoshi must ground pound and create ripples, which damage Baby Bowser. After being hit by three ripples, Kamek will cause Baby Bowser to grow to immense proportions. Yoshi must then lob giant eggs at Baby Bowser and hit him in the face to defeat him.

Bigger Boo

Bigger Boo is an enlarged version of Big Boo, and the mini-boss of world two in Yoshi's Island Like ordinary Boos, Bigger Boo hides when looked at directly by Yoshi, and attacks when Yoshi's back is turned. Bigger Boo increases in size whenever hit by eggs, which must be bounced off of walls to hit and defeat him.

Burt the Bashful

The first boss encountered in Yoshi's Island, Burt is supersized by Kamek. Burt's only method of attack is jumping around the room. In order to defeat Burt the Bashful, Yoshi must hit him with eggs. Every time Burt is hit with an egg, his pants shrink in size. After being hit six times, his pants disappear, causing him to blush and deflate.

Cloud. N. Candy

Cloud. N. Candy is an optional boss in Yoshi's Story, he is at the end of world 3-1. He looks like what he sounds, a giant piece of cloud shaped candy. The only way Cloud N. Candy can attack is by jumping. To win against him, Yoshi must keep eating him until there is nothing left of him.

Cloudjin

Cloudjin is an optional boss from Yoshi's Story, he is at the end of world 3-3. He looks like a cross between a genie. Cloudjin is probably the hardest of all the Yoshi Story bosses, not that that's saying much, Cloudjin attacks by breathing fire, making spike ball appear to hit you, and summonig those flying yellow birds. Yoshi must pelt him with eggs three times to win.

Don Bongo

Don Bongo is an optional boss from Yoshi's Story, he is at the end of the last world three level. He looks like the enemy spike from Super Mario Bros 3, except for the fact that his lips are humongous, Don Bongo attacks by walking into Yoshi and calling down pots and pans down to hit him. To defeat Don Bongo, Yoshi must hit him in the lips three times.

Inviso

Inviso is an optional boss from Yoshi’s Story, he is at the end of world three to. Inviso’s appearance is hidden, all you see of him is his eyes and teeth. Inviso attacks by turning invisible and trying to bump into you while summoning those yellow birds. Yoshi can defeat Inviso by hitting him with three eggs.

Hookbill the Koopa

For full article, see Hookbill the Koopa

To defeat Hookbill, players must pelt him with eggs until he falls over, and then pound his belly. This must be done three times to win the battle. Hookbill has several different attacks. First, he will crawl to you on all fours, causing players to drop Baby Mario if he touches them. When players pound his stomach, he will withdraw into his shell and start bouncing around before proceeding to his next attack. After being wounded once, he gets up on two legs and starts running, again causing players to lose control of Baby Mario if he comes in contact with them. For his final attack, he will jump and attempt to body slam the player. Once Hookbill is defeated, he falls off of the edge. Hookbill appears in Tetris Attack as the first of the four bosses, along with Naval Piranha, while Raphael Raven became a hero instead of a villain.

Marching Milde

Yoshi fights Marching Milde

Marching Milde is an enlarged version of the identical smaller version of herself, and is the boss of one of the hardest castles in the game, she is the mini-boss of world four. Marching Milde only walks, but is invincible to eggs while giant and must keep being split in two by Yoshi’s ground pounds, when she is small, then Yoshi can start eating and egging her. Marching Milde never attempts to attack Yoshi nor Baby Mario; she simply marches up and back in her fortress. Marching Milde's fort is considered one of the hardest castles in the game due to the fact that Yoshi must collect four keys in four seperate rooms to advance to the final battle. Milde is relatively easy compared to her castle, however.

Yoshi combats Naval Piranha

For full article, see Naval Piranha

Naval Piranha is the final boss of world three, she starts of as an ordinary piranha plant, but after Kamek works his mojo, she gets supersized and plans on having Yoshi for a snack. Naval piranha is of the piranha plant species and looks like a piranha plant with a bandage on the stalk, a gigantic stalk and buds attached to his stalk. The name "naval" is a pun on the word naval, indicating that she lives in water, and "navel", referring to her one weak spot: her bellybutton. Naval has three attacks, the first of which is a ramming attack. For the second attack, Naval shoots nipper spores out of her mouth which become nippers if they touch the ground. For Naval's last attack, she sends her vines to attack Yoshi. Alternately, if the player wishes, Yoshi can defeat Naval before the battle even begins if Yoshi stands of the very first white circle of the platform above the water which prevents the battle sequence from beginning. With a properly aimed egg and the right distance, Yoshi can destroy the piranha plant before Kamek arrives to transform it.

Prince Froggy

File:Froggy.gif
Yoshi in Prince Froggy's stomach

Prince Froggy is the mini-boss of world three. Unlike all of the other bosses, who are enlarged by Kamek magic, there is a twist in this boss battle: instead of being made bigger, Yoshi is instead made smaller and swallowed by Prince Froggy. While in the frog’s stomach, digestive acids and giant Shy Guys will fall down, which can be turned into eggs. Yoshi can then throw the eggs at Froggy's uvula, causing him to vomit, defeating him. Eggs may be thrown directly at the uvula, or bounced off of the stomach wall and into the uvula. Prince Froggy is also different from other bosses due to the fact that after he is defeated, he does not explode/dissapear, he simply lies belly up with his mouth open in pain.

Raphael Raven

Raphael Raven

For full article see Raphael Raven

In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Raphael the Raven was the final boss of World 5. When you finally arrive in the boss room, he appears as a regular Raven, but with Kamek's magic, he was transformed into Raphael the Raven. He, Baby Mario and Yoshi went to the moon to fight, which is very small. Like the regular Ravens Raphael Raven ran around this sphere, and Yoshi had to both avoid him and confront him in order to defeat him. All Raphael the Raven had to do to harm Yoshi is to bump into him, while Yoshi must butt stomp a stake down into the moon as Raphael Raven is directly under it. Doing this causes him to go into a rage, and rush after Yoshi. He could also create sparks that orbitted the moon several times by stomping the ground. Three hits takes him down, and he was knocked into the stars. He appears in the port of this game, titled Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3.

Rogger the Potted Ghost

File:Potted.gif
Yoshi prepares to do battle with Rogger.

Rogger is not enlarged like most other bosses, instead Kamek brings him to life from a potted plant. Rogger is the final boss of world two. Rogger combats Yoshi by spitting blue flames at him and striking at him with his entire body. Yoshi is actually unable to damage the potted ghost directly, instead he must push him off the edge. Yoshi may also lob eggs at Rogger, briefly stunning him. Although Rogger has two Shy Guy’s who try to push him back, they still aren’t as powerful and are pushed off along with Rogger. Rogger-esque ghosts appear in Naval Piranah's castle to block off pipes and passages, but lack the flame ability, and instead shoot Shy Guy's at Yoshi.

Salvo the Slime

Salvo is just an enlarged version of the Lemon Drop enemy and the final boss of world one. Salvo is actually the easiest boss in the game, even easier than Burt. Salov even isn’t able to damage Yoshi. Yoshi must hurl eggs at Salvo, gettting hit will make him smaller and also dispatch lemon drops which can hurt Yoshi. Salvo also appears in the later boss levels, where he will be guarding a key and try to knock Yoshi onto spikes, he ends up met with the same results.

Sluggy the Unshaven

Sluggy is a slug that was blown up to massive proportions by Kamek. Despite his rather intimidating appearance, Sluggy actually cannot harm Yoshi in any way; Yoshi will merely bounce if he hits Sluggy. Sluggy's one weak spot is his heart, and Yoshi must hit Sluggy's body with a barrage of eggs to hit the heart. Although Sluggy isn't able to harm Yoshi, he is actually one of the hardest bosses in the game, as his weak spot is hard to ge to and must be hit before Yoshi is pushed of the edge.

Tap Tap the Red Nose

Tap Tap the Red Nose is the mini boss of world six, he is an enlarged version of the smaller Tap Tap enemy. Tap Tap can not be damaged by Yoshi’s attacks, but can be pushed back by eggs, by destroying the breakable floor, Yoshi can knock Tap Tap into the lava underneath it. Tap Tap later appears in the final boss battle level after being exposed to the lava as turned gold and is invincible, even after being knocked off cliffs and into lava.
