Revision as of 00:10, 25 August 2014

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Draft:Green Fairy (novel), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Green_Fairy.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Yes, WikiFur is licensed CC-BY-SA - but that text is copyright by the publisher and the WikiFur page is a copyright violation. I've deleted as a copyvio of the publisher's page, not as a copyvio of WikiFur. Even though you give the SofaWolf address as a source, you cannot quote the whole blurb. That's not how it works. The text isn't really suitable for Wikipedia anyway, I'm afraid. If you do decide to rewrite, please read WP:NBOOK and WP:GNG first, and then WP:RS about the reliable independent sources needed to prove the notability. Note that the publisher's site and wikis are not considered reliable independent sources. Peridon (talk) 09:32, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
