Nisha Aur Uske Cousins is Hindi Teen Series presently airing on Star Plus.[1] As a promotion of the show, Star Plus introduced a free mobile app on 24 July, the World Cousins Day.[2] The storyline of the show is based on the family disputes caused by the difference of opinions due to generation gap. It shows an Indian joint family residing in the Jaipur city of Rajasthan.[3]
Plot summary
This story is about seven cousins and three generations who live together in in Jaipur.
The show targets the youth, which captures the opinion and friction caused by the generation gap between the elders of the family and the youngsters, especially when it comes to topics like careers, relationships, lifestyle and fashion choices.
The show starts with Nisha (Aneri Vajani) climbing a fort wall scouting for a place to have a farewell party for Dolly (Purvi Mundada) before she gets married. Umesh (Meherzaan Mazda) the eldest cousin is working at the family jewellery shop is present in the party. Suketu (Parv Kaila) is a college student, who has been failing in his exams, picks up his youngest cousin from school Jwala (Barbie Jain) who is a bookworm and has no social skills. Dolly and Kirti (Heli Daruwala) are out shopping when they get the message about the party.
