Anyone who really liked the Hitchcock movie, Psycho, will be disappointed with the TV show for several reasons. Firstly, it was publicized as a prequel to the movie set in 1959 but it is clearly the present day. So, it could not be the Norman Bates. Secondly, everything that made the movie a masterpiece is missing from this series; the music, black and white, sense of isolation of the motel, the central role of Norman which is overwhelmed by the mother in the first episode, the script, and supporting characters. What we get instead is a type of soap opera.[[User:OrodesIII|OrodesIII]] ([[User talk:OrodesIII|talk]]) 00:48, 12 October 2014 (UTC) OrodesIII |
