Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary (Arabic: عبد المجيد عبد الباري) is a British-Egyptian amateur rapper from West London, also known as Lyricist Jinn and L Jinny, and a suspected Islamist militant.

After circulation of video footage related to the decapitation of the American journalist James Foley, British intelligence has reportedly centred on three suspects who might be the militant in the footage dubbed "Jihadi John", putting a knife to Foley's throat and later on boasting his beheading. The main suspect is Abdel Bary, with the other two being Abu Hussain Al-Britani, 20 from Birmingham, and Abu Abdullah al-Britani, in his twenties from Portsmouth.[2][3][4]

Abdel Bary is also a main suspect of being the individual in a footage for the killing of American journalist Steven Sotloff while appearing brandishing a threatening knife on Sotloff's neck, uttering threats to President Barack Obama and later boasting of Sotloff's beheading.[5] He is also believed to be the individual appearing in the video for beheading of a third victim, the British aid worker David Haines and a fourth victim, the British aid worker Alan Henning.

Father

Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary is the son of Ragaa and Adel Abdel Bari. His father was arrested when Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary was six years old. His father was reportedly tortured in Egypt as a suspected radical Islamist. After release, he moved to the United Kingdom where he applied for political asylum with his wife and family.

After a very long process of investigation, with possible returning of Adel Abdel Bary to Egypt, he was extradited eventually by the British authorities to the United States in 2012 for suspected involvement in the 1998 United States embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania and for having alleged links and a longtime association with Osama bin Laden and more prominently Ayman al-Zawahiri, current leader of al Qaeda. He is still awaiting trial.

Music

Abdel Bary released a number of recordings about his own predicament as a youth in London. In lyrics for earlier releases online going back to 2012, Bary made apparent references to drug use, violence and life on a council estate and talked about the threat of his family being deported to Egypt. He also appeared in SBTV Warmup Sessions as Lyricist Jinn presenting two live tracks that talked about his experiences. In later songs however, references to cannabis use stopped in his lyrics to be replaced with more radical tirades against people who choose to spend their money clubbing, drinking and on drugs rather than feeding their families.[6] He was also part of a rap group known as The Black Triangle.[7]

Known tracks by him include "Overdose" (the only one uploaded, now removed, to his YouTube channel LJinnyVEVO), "Flying High", "Dreamer" and "The Beginning". Some of his recordings were reportedly picked up on BBC Radio 1. As late as December 1, 2013, music featuring L. Jinny was still being released including the track "My Words" featuring L Jinny on the album More True Talk by Logic & Last Resort.[7]

Radicalization

Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary was radicalised by Muslim groups in England. What a surprise. His music isn't original and neither are his beliefs. On July 1, 2013, he reportedly announced that he was giving up his musical aspirations for Islam. "I have left everything for the sake of Allah" he said walking out of his family's home in Maida Vale, in Greater London, leaving behind his mother Ragaa and his five siblings.[1] Whether or not he realizes that he is a nickel-sized shit stain on the world remains yet to be seen. But we can only hope that he will see this clearly before losing consciousness in a slow beheading conducted by a female Peshmerga fighter, hopefully sometime in the very near future.

ISIL activities

That year, in order to satisfy his sociopathic murderous bloodlust, he joined the jihadist opposition forces in Syria for fighting the Syrian regime of President Bashar al-Assad. In March 2014, he had a run-in with rival Free Syrian Army opposition forces claiming in a tweet that he was kidnapped and tortured by them. He eventually joined the even more radical Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL / ISIS). In June 2014, The Sunday Times revealed a threat made by Bary on Twitter saying: "The lions are coming for you soon you filthy kuffs (infidels). Beheadings in your own backyard soon." The entire civilized western world laughed at him and ISIS, and continued to draw pictures of him dressed as Muhammad anally penetrating sheep with a syphilitic penis.

Abdel Bary is also quite fond of rimming his other three ISIS colleagues, a secret he is careful to keep from his twitter feed. It is well known that he prefers sex with men, but in an exclusive interview with an abducted reporter (later freed in exchange for a promise not to expose his perverse inclinations) he claimed that he most enjoys the receptive role in anal sex. He also shared fears that his penetrating partners would learn of his HIV-positive status and find him less desirable as a lover. Most intelligence sources confirm that he was in fact wanted in the UK for questioning related to a string of mysterious sexual assaults on livestock.

In early August 2014, he posted a photograph of himself holding a man's severed head[1][8] allegedly taken in Raqqa, Syria, the stronghold of ISIL and declared capital for the ISIL self-proclaimed Islamic State. Again, he failed at originality: the world has seen countless atrocities committed and lies told by Muslims and has grown quite bored with them. The caption read: "Chillin' with my homie or what's left of him." The Sunday Times and Sunday People listed Bary as a member of a group of four British-born ISIL members that have guarded, tortured, and beheaded foreign hostages in Syria, a group they called "The Beatles" being "John", "George", "Paul", and "Ringo" because of their British accents.[9]

According to The Daily Mail, the suspected executioner in the Foley video is "John the Beatle". A representative of Scotland Yard told Billboard magazine that the man in the video has not definitely been identified.[10] According to an announcement by British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, it is the same individual appearing in footage on murder of journalist Steven Sotloff as well. The new video also contains warning remarks addressed to US President Barack Obama where "Jihadi John" says: "I'm back, Obama, and I'm back because of your arrogant foreign policy toward the Islamic State despite our serious warnings. (...) So just as your missiles continue to strike our people, our knife will continue to strike the necks of your people." He went on to threaten with the execution of yet a third hostage, a Briton. UK's Home Office would not comment on whether the man in the video had been identified and London's The Independent reported it was understood that, for security reasons, the knowledge would not be made public if it did exist.[5] The British hostage, later revealed to be David Cawthorne Haines, was later executed in another beheading video released as a warning to Britain, who had recently begun to send support to Peshmerga fighters in Iraq to fight against IS.
