Would it make sense to mark parties by racial, ethnic, or civic nationalism? While racial or ethnic nationalist parties (e.g. the BNP, Golden Dawn, UKIP) tend to be associated with the right wing and bigotry, civic nationalist parties (e.g. the SNP, Sinn Fein, Plaid Cymru) tend to be associated with the left-wing and egalitarianism, and thus have radically different policies, views, and philosophies. The article seems to imply that all the nationalist parties listed are of the racial or ethnic varieties. [[User:HaniiPuppy|HaniiPuppy]] ([[User talk:HaniiPuppy|talk]]) 08:34, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

Marking parties by racial, ethnic, or civic nationalism?

Would it make sense to mark parties by racial, ethnic, or civic nationalism? While racial or ethnic nationalist parties (e.g. the BNP, Golden Dawn, UKIP) tend to be associated with the right wing and bigotry, civic nationalist parties (e.g. the SNP, Sinn Fein, Plaid Cymru) tend to be associated with the left-wing and egalitarianism, and thus have radically different policies, views, and philosophies. The article seems to imply that all the nationalist parties listed are of the racial or ethnic varieties. HaniiPuppy (talk) 08:34, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
