I believe Modcloth is littering the internet and intentionally affecting searches. Go to Google and search blogs for Modcloth. You will see pages of spam with keywords not related to their business that lead back to them. shame on you. SPAM SPAM SPAM Vintagefashion (talk) 21:59, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Modcloth is paying big bucks to litter their name across the internet and to affect their Google search rankings. This wikipedia entry is BLATANT advertising to affect rankings and backlinks. The exact information can be found on their site, their facebook, and many other places. This is more SPAM from a company who is paying for just that. Shows you the type of company they are. There are many other shops that sell the same items at half the prices, but aren't paying to fill legitimate sites with their Marketing Spam. Tsk Tsk. Continuing abuse of this article for advertising and SEO purposes

Unfortunately, even three years after the above discussion, it appears that the company is abusing this encyclopedia article to promote its web presences and its business with complete disregard of Wikipedia's guidelines and advice about conflict of interest editing; see these edits by an IP editor identifying as ModCloth employee. I have cleaned up some of the worst violations of Wikipedia policies (e.g. the over-the-top self-praise of ModCloth's "amazing social media presence" and its "lovingly curated" blog), but it seems that more work needs to be done to make the article fulfill WP:NPOV. Amongst the top Google returns as of early 2015 are news articles revealing (a) massive layoffs, with the company now having only half a dozen developers (b) flat sales and (c) the departure of the CEO, who looks about twelve years old. Given (a), perhaps the article will juat wither and die. 80.99.56.84 (talk) 21:57, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
