Sonamoo (Korean소나무, lit. Pine Tree[1]) is a seven-member South Korean K-pop girl group under TS Entertainment. On December 29, 2014, Sonamoo made their official debut with the single "Deja Vu".[1] The group consists of Sumin, Minjae, D.ana, Nahyun, Euijin, High.D and NewSun.[2]

Career

Pre-Debut

Early July 2014, the company announced that they are forming a new girl group.

An agency representative said: "These girls have hidden talents that are not yet released." The agency later revealed that the group will be called "SONAMOO"

It was the first thing that came out, until November 2014, the first three members (Nahyun, New Sun and Eui Jin) were relesed with photos of them, since the date of the official debut of them was set, the members created they're official social networking accounts.. October 31, a track was released titled "Light the fire" by the fourth member. The company released a blurred picture of the fourth member and had a contest for the fans to make a stage name for the fourth member. It was decided that her name will be D.ana which means "Goddess of the moon". Then the company released a photo showing her face. D.ana and New Sun revealed a rap track titled "As If Putting On An Armor" which showed their ability to rap.

On December 11, a cover track was released by the fifth member. She sang Jeniffer Hudson's "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" which showed her singing skills. It was revealed that her name is High.D. After that, the last two members Sumin and Minjae were revealed.

2014: Debut with Deja Vu

On December 18, 2014, TS Entertainment released a teaser video for SONAMOO's Debut.

On December 26, 2014, TS Entertainment released a teaser video for their debut song "Deja Vu".

On December 29, 2014, Sonamoo officially debuted with the release of their debut single "Deja Vu" and held their debut showcase performance.[3] The album debuted at the number one spot on Gaon's weekly Album Chart.[4]

2015: Comeback with Just Go

It was announced that SONAMOO will be having a comeback stage on March. They performed "Just Go" on Mnet's M Countdown from Feburary to March 2015.

March 25, 2015, TS Entertainment released a music video for "Just Go" which was shot in Japan.
