Dusty in Memphis. Dusty Springfield's classic 1969 "white soul" album was produced by Jerry Wexler and Arif Mardin and engineered by Tom Dowd. All three played key roles in Aretha Franklin's career. "So Much Love," "Son of a Preacher Man," "Breakfast in Bed," "Just One Smile," "I Don't Want to Hear It Anymore," and "Just a Little Lovin'" are important cuts on Dusty in Memphis.

In 1999, Rhino Records issued a deluxe remastered CD version of this landmark album with additional tracks.

Dusty In Memphis was ranked 87th in a 2005 survey held by British television's Channel 4 to determine the 100 greatest albums of all time.
