Crystal Chronicles

Shouldn't there be some mention of her doing the English version of "Song of the Wind" (Kaze no ne) for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVdi1We_7fs 173.3.10.140 (talk) 06:07, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ayreon based question

So she is in no way related to Irene Jansen who sang as "Passion" in "The Human Equation"? I ask because I can't tell too much of the difference between their vocals. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AndarielHalo (talkcontribs) 19:57, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, Floor and Irene Jansen are siblings, according to the Ayreon website. scetoaux (talk) (My contributions.) 06:21, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Irene is Floor's younger sister. 24.222.103.179 (talk) 02:34, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Does it really matter?

Recently, there has been a spike in edits of this article. A lot of anonymous editors have been editing here about her vioce type. Is it really that important to have so many edits in such a small section of the profile? This is starting to get redundant and ridiculous. These anonymous editors are wasting the time of the people who have this page on their watchlist, one of those people being myself. I guess I will go research that myself and i will start reverting edits, possible as vandalism, if this crap keeps up. BTC 16:48, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

She isn't a soprano, is she?

I'm honestly not very knowledgable on the subject matter, but it's pretty obvious even to me that she isn't a soprano. Can anyone bring up a source? LaughingSkull (talk) 20:06, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My knowledge about voice types is also very limited, I wouldn't dare to classify her. This is the only "useable" source I found (although I doubt its reliability). -- Lacrimus (talk) 20:27, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I don't see why it would be an unreliable source, although the bias in the article does concern me. BacktableSpeak to Meabout what I have done 03:51, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Floor and Mark

Is there any relation, or relationship here? It would certainly be of note if her brother, or husband split to create another band. None of the articles tag him as such however. Sephiroth storm (talk) 19:09, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I remember wondering the same thing about them. I remember recieving a response which said that they are not related to one another, and that it was just a common last name in the Netherlands region. I find it a reasonable explanation. Hopefully, a source would be found to confirm that they are not related, if something is worth pointing out in the relevant articles. How about her MySpace page? "• She’s the oldest of 2 daughters, she has one younger sister named Irene (so no; Mark Jansen is not related to me ☺)" 82.71.41.74 (talk) 15:24, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Works for me. Sephiroth storm (talk) 20:54, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I can believe that as well. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 23:08, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
PS: By the way, while doing homework, I came across this page. It may not be entirely relevant, but it talks about popular Dutch last names and how Jansen is one of them. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 23:14, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Violinist?

There is a category "Dutch violinists", but no mention in artcile about that. So is she or not? 85.217.36.223 (talk) 10:29, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

She might or might not be, but if there is no mention of her violin experience in the article, then it's not worth putting her page in that category. I will take care of this shortly. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 23:06, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Small grammar improvement

Before:

In 2012 following the departure of their lead vocalist Anette Olzon, Nightwish replaced her with Jansen as a session member until the end of their Imaginaerum World Tour.

After (still not perfect):

In 2012 following the departure of Nightwish's lead vocalist Anette Olzon, they replaced her with Jansen as a session member until the end of their Imaginaerum World Tour.

Mentioning here due to semi-protection. Randomusername9 (talk) 18:20, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
