Wow! I'm impressed by your quick work at Category:Lists. Maurreen 02:32, 16 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I agree! Thanks for your contribution. —Tokek 01:12, 17 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your sig

Hi reinyday - I've been noticing your sig on WP:CFD... this is probably something you know all about but... you do know about being able to use four tildes (~~~~) to sign, don't you? Or have you done some fancy trick with your signature to stop it linking back to your user page? Grutness...wha? 10:22, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Most people don't know that you can get just the time stamp by typing five tildes (~~~~~), which is what I used to do:
-- Reinyday, ~~~~~
Now, I've edited my preferences and selected the "Raw signatures" box and changed my nickname to "-- Reinyday," so I only have to type four tildes (~~~~) to sign my unlinked name. -- Reinyday, 16:36, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
Ah. that explains it. Makes it harder to get to your user page, but cut and paste does the job anyway. Makes for an interesting looking sig, though slow-on-the-uptake people like me may still mistake you for a newbie occasionally :) Grutness...wha? 23:43, 1 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"Category needed"

Full again.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Category_needed

I've emptied about 30 or so of them, I can't remember now. There are certainly a lot in one month of a period! --Gary King 22:06, 7 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Category needed is filling up again

You said we could let you know on the talk page. :-) -- Kjkolb 19:05, 27 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

If you're interested (or know someone who is) the Category:Category needed is over a thousand articles...those of us working on it aren't doing very well keeping up... NickelShoe 05:49, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cloudy

Where I am now, the sky's been (unseasonally) grey and white and cloudy since all last week. Your appearance on my watchlist was a sunshine ray. Thanks. And take care, all. VivekM 07:06, 24 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Reinyday

The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.38.200.31 (talk • contribs) .

Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks for coming up with a very pleasing solution to the formatting issue on my userpage. I came back from vacation and logged on, wondering what I was going to try next to reorganize my userbox dump, and lo and behold, someone else had done it for me. And just two days after I had put up the request for help! I really appreciate you taking the time to look at it. Iapetus 00:33, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your user page

One observation about your user page, if you change the line

{| border="1" cellpadding="4" cellspacing="0" style=" margin: 0.5em 1em 0.5em 0; background: #f9f9f9; border: 1px #aaa solid; border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 95%; width:100%"

to

{| border="1" cellpadding="4" cellspacing="0" style=" clear: right; margin: 0.5em 1em 0.5em 0; background: #f9f9f9; border: 1px #aaa solid; border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 95%; width:100%"

it will keep the three boxes that float to the right from overlapping the table, regardless of how long your Currently Working On list becomes in the future. Aside from that, you have a very nice user page - clean, simple, and informative. Koweja 00:52, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work with Template:MtDNA and Template:Y-DNA

Hey, very nice work with Template:Y-DNA. I'm the one who began the Human Y-chromosome DNA haplogroups back in January, and had really been feeling lost for a way to clearly express the tree relationship of the haplogroup branching. I'm happy to come back some time later and see the problem's been solved! --Saforrest 05:24, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you so much! I am really happy with how Template:Y-DNA turned out. I must confess that it took me a long time to get the formatting right. -- Reinyday, 19:03, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

California Congressional Districts stubs not current

Thanks for setting up all the articles for California Congressional Districts. The stubs, however, reflect the old 1990s boundaries and not the post-2001 districts (which granted were not seated until the 2004 elections). For example, the 40th is not in fact Inyo and San Bernardino Counties on the eastern border, but the northern swath of Orange County (most of which used to be in the 39th). I don't have the expertise or inclination to go through and fix them all, but for the time being perhaps it would be wise to add something like "as of 2000" to the others. -choster 15:40, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for letting me know. I'll work on updating them. -- Reinyday, 19:03, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Country Template categories

Hello, I want to mention that when you add a category to templates, it makes pages look bad. For instance, Template:FRA, you added a category and it made 1998_Wimbledon_Championships#Top_10_Seeds look bad. You need to add the category without space, I think, like in Template:DEU. Thanks. Crzycheetah 21:55, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks! I'm working to fix it now... — Reinyday, 21:56, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
  • They should all be fixed now. — Reinyday, 22:06, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Corbin's Workspace

Yo. I'm more or less on a break from life right now, but I noticed your edit and wanted to thank you. That page is not very finished, clearly, and will take a long time to get right. For now, the page is unfinished, and is not likely to be finished soon. I'm working on a bit of a side project with Wiki, though, and will be adding it to my signature when finished. Thanks for the edit, though. It's nice to see other people working with arcane templates. Happy editing! - Corbin Be excellent 00:09, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for your message! I was thinking it would be really fabulous to use the show/hide feature of Template:Dynamic navigation box to hide chunks of the family tree and then users could click to reveal them. — Reinyday, 06:40, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Hmm. Maybe. The problem is that due to all the incest (yay?), most of the tree isn't direct-descendant. Unless there's some classification system for Greek gods that I don't know about, I'm not sure how that would pan out. Admittedly, it would be cool to just hide and show branches of the tree... - Corbin Be excellent 15:52, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Benediktas Mikulis

Hi, I was wondering if you could provide a little more info about the following, from the first edit of the Benediktas Mikulis that you started:

Benedictus Mikulis was featured in a Finnish documentary about Lithuanian freedom fighters. He is also featured in the game Dust to Dust by Brendan Powell Smith.

I'm looking for, at the least, the name of the film, and a reference or link for the game, but any info you have would be most helpful. It's mainly for the work I'm doing on the Forest Brothers article. Thanks! heqs 20:24, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • The game is minor, but the film was apparently a mainstream film. If I knew the name I would have put it in the article, but unfortunately I don't. Do you know when Benediktas Mikulis was born? — Reinyday, 23:36, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
No. It would be very helpful if you could name the sources used to started the article. heqs 11:44, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

unlinkspam

Hi, I'm glad that you liked my link finder tool. You didn't do anything wrong--unfortunately the results are not being updated. It's hosted by the German Wikimedia, and database replication was disabled for the English Wikipedia because it was slowing down the German database.

I understand that English updates will be re-enabled once a new disk drive is installed. I'm not sure when that will be; I'm in the US and the server is in Amsterdam, so it's outside of my control. I added a warning at the top of the search form to explain the situation to others. Wmahan. 04:45, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Filling in number infoboxes

To fill in the infoboxes for number articles in the Slovene Wikipedia, I use Mathematica, because those infoboxes include fields like φ(x) and M(x). But for the English Wikipedia, which has just factorization, bin, hex and sometimes Roman numeral, Mathematica would be overkill. The Calculator bundled with Windows XP is quite adequate. You just set it to Scientific mode and you should see four radio buttons: bin, oct, dec and hex. I would imagine Mac OS X and Linux also include calculators capable of displaying binary and hexadecimal. Anton Mravcek 21:20, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest

You dont start an account in StormWiki[2] because it is 'so slow' it would make your eyes pop out. I have COX or DSL I do not rember. Yet it is friggin slow. DO you have a picture of you any where that you can put up on your user page?

--Qho·(talk)·(contribs) 20:52, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think you may have me confused with someone else. I have never heard of StormWiki and am not interested. I do not wish to license any of my images under the GFDL, so I cannot upload a picture. — Reinyday, 20:57, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

I am sorry

I had my account left open while I was doing something and my brother(10) came in and messed around. See here [3]and here [4] These two places he was messing about in. Too bad I let him Know how to work wiki. :( As to the storm wiki crap I Just now started an account (you know, for hame work reasons). My brother is in for a beating Hugging with a fist . He told me to ask you this though, " Are you relly female or a male acting like a female? " I am highly embarresed about his rudeness.

Sorry for the disturbance,
