Hey there! I wanted to drop you a note because I have been participating in the discussion about deleting the Samson Hartland article. I can see from the other notes on your talk page that you may have had a bit of "trial by fire" in some areas of Wikipedia. I wanted to make a couple of points to you in more clear language that might help you. I think the bulk of your trouble with the Samson Hartland article comes from two things: |
|||
* It is considered to be in bad taste to write an article about yourself, or about an organization you are involved in, mainly because you cannot be unbiased in your writing. Encyclopedia articles need to be unbiased - review the Wikipedia page on neutral point of view, one of our essential policies. Generally it is felt that if you are indeed notable, someone else will notice and be inclined to write an article about you. |
|||
* Your article really does meet the notability guidelines laid out in WP:BIO. Bullet three states that local political figures (which you are) are not considered notable for this encyclopedia unless they have received significant press coverage. That doesn't mean you haven't - it just means that your article does not PROVE you have. Wikipedia articles must be verifiable; otherwise, they don't belong here. It is the article's responsibility to assert notability, and your articles does not do so. That is why people are stating that it should be deleted. |
|||
If your article is deleted, I hope you are not discouraged from editing Wikipedia. Feel free to ask me for help any time. I think you would make a valuable contributor here, especially in areas where you are knowledgable. --<font color="3300FF">Aguerriero (talk)</font> 14:18, 31 July 2006 (UTC) |

Message from Hetar
Please don't create articles about yourself or your friends. We're building an encyclopedia here, and it's very unlikely that your article fits in with that. Creating such articles also makes work for others as we rush to delete them. The Wikipedia policy on vanity articles can be reviewed here and here. Thanks. --Hetar 05:00, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from pages that you have created. Doing so is considered vandalism. If you disagree with the deletion, you are welcome to insert the hangon tag until you can make an explanation on the article's talk page, but the speedy deletion tag must remain. Thanks. --Hetar 05:13, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- Please stop removing speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created. Doing so is considered vandalism and can lead to a temporary or permanent block. Thanks. --Hetar 05:16, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- Inserting the hangon template will give you a chance to polich the article. Please stop removing the speedy trag from the article. It is considered vandalism. You are welcome to contest the reasons for the article's deletion on its talk page, but the speedy deletion tag must remain. --Hetar 05:20, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
How is Pavlina_Sudrich page any different?
Political history of Yukon Territory not relevant? Still have much typing left, I like to save as I type along.
Patience please? Give me a chance to polish.
I keep doing it by mistake. I can't polish it when I have "editing conflicts"...this is a drag. I should've typed everything out at once and then listed. Not to go through this hassle.
This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Hetar 05:24, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
As previously indicated, all by mistake. My apologies.
I look forward to continuing to work on the page and justify its validity.

Image copyright problem with Image:City Picture.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:City Picture.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: TemplateName
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. --Hetar 04:16, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
