Nawlinwiki, even though the term is one i invented it's one that is extremely popular through out the tri-state area and pennsylvania. Many people would benefit from knowing it's defenition if they're not from the area.

Thank you for your help! LongIsland.com 12:44, 22 July 2006

Hi Nawlin, I read requirements and posted information about Long Island Pizza Festival & Bake-Off please review. I wikified some terms and added categories. I am unable to link the reference on the LongIsland.com page about the pizza festival to the page, can you do this or send instructions on how to do this. Also, the categories, does it automatically index the page and place the appropriate link on the category page, or do I need to do this manually. Please reveiw and ok the page before I spend time linking to relevant pages. If any problems with the article, please post on my talk page. Thank you! LongIsland.com 15:06, 21 July 2006

Hi Nawlin - I am creating a page for an annual non-profit event that takes place on Long Island, NY. I would like to link this to the Long Island NY general page that has info about food, specifically pizza and I would also like to link it to my page that provides a definition of our Web site. I am planning to keep it brief and informative. Am I doing something wrong already? Please advise. LongIsland.com 22:29, 20 July 2006

The link to the notes site was not a spam link. It is legitimate site that many students use to review the curriculum of the AP curriculum. Please return the links. --GoOdCoNtEnT 00:04, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually an article can consist of a picture because it's considered a reference. That's why there are so many in wikipedia with only a picture. lilnessaslove

I think the category in which they are under should be pretty self explainatory on why they are notable. If I find to do a biography on each one, then I will do so. As of now, in many cases people like to associate a face with a name, which I'm helping them do. lilnessaslove

These celebrities are listed under Blasian Musicians. That is why they are notable. No matter what category you go to, there is always information floating around that wasn't mentioned in the article and you could easily find by doing research elsewhere. This is no different. lilnessaslove

Whyd you remove my changes? I worked really hard on those. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.205.88.52 (talkcontribs) 03:56, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Hey, Nawlin, thanks for the extra stub on the Nancy Duteil article. If you can find out any more about her, feel free to add it; I'd appreciate it! :-) 7/21/06

Hello

Nice meeting you. I removed the speedy tag Clan MacNab as the topic appears to be notable. Cheers!--Bhadani 14:09, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, you had also removed the same. I thought you had added it. At least, it gave me a chance to talk to you. Bye bye for now. --Bhadani 14:18, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for adding the "categories" section to this article - I've just started adding new articles to Wikipedia and am learning the ropes as I go along. As easy as it appears from the edit page, I will include "cats" on further articles. CGrue 05:33, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, please write the delete discussion. Thx, --History Chanel 18:28, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

deletion

Hi, I think the grounds for deletion of the "Curbsy" article are unfounded, i planned to build a collection of information on classic street games, which, are enjoyed by many young people in the UK, i chose Wikipedia to do this as i saw it as an unbiased place where one may, post information on topics which interest them and may interest others, you have tainted my view of this by so quickly attacking my 'simple' wiki. --Monk456 23:22, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

Sorry about that.... the people doing it have stopped. They've just been warned by me that Wikipedia is not a joke, it's a project. --150.204.218.97 15:01, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and they've decided to stop fooling about doing ceiling cat/amorrowish vandalism, they've been warned by me and apologised immediately. --150.204.218.97 15:02, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good evening. There have been some new facts and evidence presented in the discussion since your last edit. When you have a minute, would you mind taking the time to revisit the discussion? Thanks. Rossami (talk) 22:17, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Axehandle hound

I have had success in finding a reference for the article (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Axhandle hound). You may want to have a look. Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 18:10, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Woodylogan vandal

Thanks for your message. I've extended the block on User talk:24.181.67.89 to 2 weeks. I'll also try to keep an eye open for the IP address that I blocked that expires today...if they start up on that IP address again, I'll block for much longer. Thanks for all your work, and let me know if you need anything in the future, especially pertaining to this particular vandal. EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 20:10, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, no problem. I have started a thread over at ANI to get a little more attention for this case. If it continues to be a problem, perhaps someone will do an IP range block. Hopefully it won't come to that and the extended blocks will do their job. EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 20:27, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, someone accidently removed my thread, but that's not a big deal because I see you had already started one. Good job. :o) Hope all turns out well. EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 20:40, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Curiosity & Ray Nagin

Hi! I saw your 'delete' on the Rfd, and I was curious about your 'Nawlin' name. Then I saw the Ray Nagin article. Are you sure he is a lifelong Democrat? I thought he was formerly a Republican who changed parties. Anyway, thanks for the support on the RfD. Sometimes what you find on Wikipedia is truly amazing. jawesq 02:19, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I found several articles 'googling' from Daily Kos to "Detroit Free Press" that claim Nagin was a Republican who changed parties. Do you know ?jawesq 02:27, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you. jawesq 02:31, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Just want to say thank you for reverting the vandalism on my userpage for me. --A10203040 06:10, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Francis Fulford & the Upper Classes

I did not add nonsense to upper class. Channel 4 have never made a documentary called Francis Fulford; they have made a documentary called The Fucking Fulfords. My edit was constructive- your edit was destructive. Proof? http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,7-1205652_1,00.html or I would appreciate it if you would undo your edit of my work. I'm So Tired

Hi,

Just wondering what the point is of reverting the ‘I’m So Tired’ page back to its original content when the detail that is on this page is both inaccurate and without any citation to support the points made. If you have evidence to back up the point about the change in pronunciation of the word “git” then fair enough but without it this comment remains an unqualified statement.

Please respond.

Thanks,

"Pepperstool 15:38, 31 July 2006 (UTC)"[reply]

Ok, that's fair enough. I think you're probably right about the Raleigh bit too. Three things that I think you should bare in mind though:

1) "get" is a Northern word and slang for "git" and therefore likely to have been used from the start rather than as a substitute

2) A quick listen to the Esher demos should hopefully give an indication as to whether this was altered in the studio, during the demoing or not at all. (I can't remember off the top of my head how Lennon pronounces the word on the demo but I'll listen to it tonight to find out).

3) If Lennon had originally used the word "git" instead of "get" then this line would not scan as a rhyming couplet. The words Lennon chooses to set up the final rhyme are "upset" and "cigarette". Neither of these words rhyme with "git" leading me to believe that it was never "git" or an attempt to fool the censors.

Sorry to be so pedantic.

Thanks for your response though. Good luck with the citation.

Dear NawlinWiki: I move your material on the film "America: From Freedom to Fascism" from the Aaron Russo article to the article on the film. Pretty interesting! Thanks for finding this stuff (Russo's personal tax problems and the clarification about his film being show "at" Cannes when it was really on the beach at Cannes!). I personally believe the information hits even harder when placed in the article on the film.

By the way, I'm just curious -- how did you happen to come upon this information so quickly? Do you subscribe to New York Times stuff by email? Yours, Famspear 16:13, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, in the Mountain High section, I linked to their web videos on their site. How is that giving myself a plug? The first time it was to my site, then I changed it so it went to theirs. I didn't even mention I was the person who made them.

Speedy Deletion Criteria on Grim

Hey, I noticed that you tagged this article for WP:CSD G4 as a recreation of deleted material. CSD G4 only applies to articles deleted through the XfD process (think AfD, RfD, etc.). A lot of people don't realize (including some admins), so it's a fairly common error. I changed your tag to CSD G1 (which it is). Best Regards, alphaChimp laudare 04:52, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In Regards To 68.32.34.152

I dunno, it appears he has made some good edits as well, from the talkpage comments. I know it is more bad than good, but shouldn't we exercise caution when reporting IPs, for fears of blocking good people? Arbiteroftruth 21:56, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your concern, and they are mine as well. I never questioned your motives, just wondered why you wanted that to happen. I won't stand in your way :) Arbiteroftruth 22:05, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
