The Michael Brin Prize in Dynamical systems, sometimes also known as the Brin Prize[1], is awarded to mathematicians who have made outstanding advances in the field of dynamical systems. The requirements stipulate that the the PhD graduation date of the awardee should not be more than 14 years [2]. The first prize was awarded in 2008, and since 2009, it has been awarded bi-annually. In recent years, the prize committees has included Jean Bourgain, Anatole Katok, Marina Ratner, Marcelo Viana, and Benjamin Weiss. [3][4]

The prize is endowed by and named after Michael Brin, a retired[5] mathematician at the University of Maryland, and a specialist in dynamical systems.[6] He is also known as the father of Sergey Brin. [7]
