Tokyo Junior Orchestra Society (東京ジュニアオーケストラソサエティー) was established in April 1994 by Fuminori “Maro” Shinozaki, the Principal Concertmaster of the NHK Symphony Orchestra.^[1]^[2] It is one of the most highly regarded youth orchestras in Japan. It was featured on television in a performance of Chopin’s Piano Concerto no.1 with Aimi Kobayashi in 2010. ^[3] Members must pass an audition held throughout the year.
