Clay Helton (born June 24, 1972) is the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the USC Trojans football team. He was hired to be the team's quarterbacks coach in 2010.[1] In 2013 he was promoted to offensive coordinator.[2] He served as the team's interim head coach during their bowl game after their previous interim head coach, Ed Orgeron, quit. Became head coach after local lush Sarkisian took a leave of absence.

He has also been a coach for Duke Blue Devils, Houston Cougars and Memphis Tigers. His father Kim Helton, has coached teams in college, the National Football League and the Canadian Football League since 1973.
