Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Terry Bean, you may be blocked from editing. Don't start this again. Thomas.W talk 10:02, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I am simply removing biased, poorly-sourced, and libelous contentious material. Just like a lot of other people say they are doing here. Got a problem with that? 67.5.192.83 (talk) 18:57, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did at Terry Bean. Thomas.W talk 19:31, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas.W, you are a (Personal attack removed). And I am saying this on my own Talk Page, and that is a clear exception to rules that would otherwise apply against such a statement. 67.5.192.83 (talk) 06:41, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The above quote was attempted to be removed by a user other than the owner of the User Talk Page, thus violating the rule on WP:NPA "Discussion of behavior in an appropriate forum, (e.g. user's talk page or Wikipedia noticeboard) does not in itself constitute a personal attack." 67.5.192.83 (talk) 07:16, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
What the hell are you talking about? A personal attack can be removed under all conditions. You're not discussing his behaviour. You just outright insulted him. Don't use the facade of policy to defend yourself. --QEDK (TC) 07:20, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright

Control copyright icon Hello 67.5.192.83, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Terry Bean has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. MPS1992 (talk) 10:09, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
The above is indeed a worthless, irrelevant, and false claim. "Copyright notice"? No explanation is given. Amazingly, it isn't even signed: No reply is possible. 06:39, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
Really? MPS1992 (talk) 06:49, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, really, MPS1992. On the article, Terry Bean, you just reverted material which, itself, would have been claimed to have violated "copyright law": It contained a quotation, cited from an article. And you reverted, retrieving material which contained a quotation, cited from an article. Have you ever heard of "fair use"? You DO realize the hypocrisy of making a claim of violation of copyright law, when you _cause_ precisely such a violation of copyright law, at least based on the theory stated above. I contend that the only reason there is a boilerplate assertion of violation of copyright law (above) is that your thuggish gang needed an excuse to erase one quotation, while simultaneously "forgetting" that there was yet another violation of copyright law. Explain yourself. You won't be able to. 67.5.192.83 (talk) 06:57, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. MPS1992 (talk) 06:49, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not attack other editors. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. You're not discussing his behaviour. You engaged in name-calling. Please do not restore it again. QEDK (TC) 07:16, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
It is "wikilawyering" to cite misleading or false rules. According to WP:NPA, it says: "Discussion of behavior in an appropriate forum, (e.g. user's talk page or Wikipedia noticeboard) does not in itself constitute a personal attack."
You have edited material on my User Talk Page, and the WP:NPA rule specifically excludes material on User Talk Pages from being classified as a "personal attack". So, stop falsely accusing me of engaging in "personal attacks". 67.5.192.83 (talk) 07:20, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
