The Father Saturnino Urios University (FSUU) is a Roman Catholic private university run by the Diocese of Butuan in Butuan City, Philippines.

History

Fr. Saturnino Urios founded the Butuan Parochial School in 1901, a low building which was made of bricks adjacent to the old church which was built for the students.

During Juanito Lao era, 2 concrete buildings were constructed in 1990. 4 story buildings are belongs to the Engineering Program and Nursing Program, while the 2 story building which was belongs to the faculty and chapel. In 1997, another 4 story building was constructed for the high school students (Before the building was belongs to the College students and became the College Building South.) which composed of 32 classrooms and 15 spaces for laboratories, library and offices. And the Urios Gym was constructed in the same year which compose of 4,300 bleachers, PRT rooms and PE Hall.

The Father Saturnino Urios University were located along J.C. Aquino Avenue (Formerly Zamora Street), San Francisco, R. Calo, and Padre Burgos Streets.

In June 30, 2008, Rev. Fr. John Christian U. Young inaugurated a Basic Education Building in Brgy. Libertad (Near Ronnie Vicente Lagnada's Equi-Parco). The Basic Education Building was exclusively for the Elementary and High School Students, especially Faculty and Staff, and College Students with I.D. The building was composed of 24 Elementary and 24 High School Buildings, 3 Science Laboratories, 1 Mini Chapel, 1 multi-purpose Gymnasium, 1 football field, 2 Computer Laboratories, and 1 new Swimming Pool for students. On June 6, 2016, the Basic Education Department is a K-12 ready by the Department of Education.

In November 2015, The College Building East was renovated before the Gym was burned.

In May 2016, The Urios Gym was renovated for the first time.

The Father Saturnino Urios University is the only first home-gown university in Caraga.
