Pakistan

User:Xtremedood - Firstly, I did not state that AJ was unreliable. Secondly, AJ is an Estimate. I was merely pointing out that in light of far more reliable sources, the Pakistani Ahmadiyya population is 2-5m. 0.6m figure, proportionally speaking is way out of range. Now if there was no availability of other reliable sources, AJ could well be useful in this case. Finally, AJ is only attempting to quote Ahmadi estimates, not independent estimates.--Peaceworld 22:16, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

4,000,000 is one estimate. The maximum number given by an estimate should not only be there. The statistic should include a minimum to maximum figure. Xtremedood (talk) 23:24, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Xtremedood - It appears that you have totally ignored what I have said. Firstly 4m is not maximum. You are free to change it to the range 2-5m figure as in sources, although I personally prefer to write down an average or the most quoted figure in a variety of sources. Now let's come back to what I said earlier. The AJ source is quoting a figure described by Ahmadi leaders, and therefore is not an independent source. The said sources for the 2-5m make it clear that there are "more than two million followers of the Ahmadi faith in Pakistan." That is a contradiction to the source provided by AJ, which as a news source is less reliable. The figure 0.6m is too obscure, not to be supported by any other sources. Please take that on board when replying. Thanks. --Peaceworld 05:57, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The following source [1] also gives 600,000 as a figure. They quote it from "Freedom House (2010), “The Impact of Blasphemy Laws on Human Rights.” 120". 4 million is a big gap and therefore the 600,000 figure should remain. Xtremedood (talk) 18:34, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'll come back to discuss this later. It is still obscure. --Peaceworld 19:43, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
How is Freedom House obscure? Xtremedood (talk) 23:39, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Xtremedood: See this "Ahmadis have boycotted the census since 1974, rendering official numbers inaccurate." I'm not sure why you didn't look at the sources before reverting?--Peaceworld 16:06, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Legitimate source, should have been there in the first place. Xtremedood (talk) 16:19, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It was there, as a tertiary.--Peaceworld 17:06, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
