Fatih Ozmen is the owner of Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) and CEO.[3] As Sierra Nevada Corporation’s sole owners,[3] Fatih Ozmen and his wife, Eren Ozmen, run one of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies.[4] The company is headquartered in Sparks, Nevada.
Early Life and Education
Born in Turkey,[5] the former Turkish National Cycling Champion rode alongside top Turkish cyclists throughout the 1970s in his teenage years.[6] Fatih Ozmen started at Sierra Nevada Corporation as an Engineering intern in 1981 with his M.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR)[6]. With a Master’s thesis on navigation and landing systems, Fatih Ozmen was able to take part in the development of numerous systems and management of several key programs during his years at the Sierra Nevada Corporation. In 1994, Fatih Ozmen and his wife Eren Ozmen acquired the company.[7]

In 2014, Fatih and wife Eren made the largest gift in college history to the University of Nevada, Reno’s College of Business for the creation of a permanent center supporting entrepreneurial programs in areas such as science, engineering and journalism. According to Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval , the “Ozmen Center” will aid I the state’s economic development efforts. [15]

- Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) was Named Nevada’s 2014 "Aerospace Company of the Year" by Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NCET).[17]
- In 2012 Eren Ozmen and Fatih Ozmen were named "Aviation Entrepreneurs of the Year"[18] and were inducted as permanent "Living Legends of Aviation" in 2013 in Beverly Hills, CA.[19]
