Sukriti Kakar is an Indian Playback singer. Born in New Delhi, Sukriti shot to fame with her crooning in the title song of the Akshay Kumar - starred, ‘Boss,’ in 2013 – the song was composed by Meet Bros and featured Yo Yo Honey Singh. Sukriti’s latest party anthem, ‘Kar Gayi Chull,’ from director Shakun Batra’s ‘Kapoor & Sons’ has become a huge hit, and has crossed 63 million views and counting.

She next appeared in the track "Goti Song" from the movie Nasha (2013) with Akshay Deodhar and her twin sister Prakriti Kakar. Sukriti’s performance in "Mujhse Hogi Shurvaat" was released by "I Paid a Bribe" and The Shankar Mahadevan Academy as an initiative to tackle corruption. Apart from Sukriti, the song is rendered by Mahadevan, Prakriti Kakar and Chetan Naik. The song was nominated in the best activist anthem category of Honesty Oscars 2014.

In June 2015, she bagged her first hit "Pheli Baar" from the movie Dil Dhadakne Do which was a massive hit which crossed over 4 millions views on YouTube. It was then she was offered to sing for the song "Jungli Peeke Tight Hai" from Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon (2015) starred Kapil Sharma. Her latest hit is the party anthem song "Kar Gayi Chull" from Kapoor & Sons (2016) along with Badshah.

Influences

Having grown up in a musical environment, Sukriti has a wide range of influences like Pop, Rnb, Rock, Hindustani classical, and mainstream Bollywood. She also plays the guitar and has been actively touring and performing since she was 16. Some artists that Sukriti admires and looks up to are Beyonce, Cristina Aguilera, Ariana Grande and Celine Dion. Some of her influences in Bollywood are Arijit Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Vishal Dadlani and Shankar Mahadevan.
