Revision as of 17:00, 9 July 2016

Hi Fred,

I have recently tagged this page for CSD deletion, and you've recently deleted some pages that I tagged. Do you think this one meets the guidelines, or not? Thanks. Tevlev3 (talk) 03:00, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Tevlev3: I just deleted it, so I'd say yes. :) —C.Fred (talk) 03:02, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

User: Soundofthesea

Sir, I have nothing to do with User:Soundofthesea & that account is not my puppet. So I request you not to put my name in this account page. I have spoken to the Wikipedia ArbCom about this problem & before you edit this page again, I request you to talk to them first. BTW I am a human being too who can gets happy and sad. And this is not a game. And Niranjandeshmukh is not my fake name. I am Dr.Niranjan Deshmukh. Google me & you will know what I am. Please stop maligning me. Its a request to you & all others who do such things.

User:Niranjandeshmukh — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.169.2.174 (talk) 06:47, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you have spoken with ArbCom, and if the page should not be tagged, then I'm sure they'll designate an administrator to go untag the page, if an arbitrator doesn't do it directly. —C.Fred (talk) 13:36, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also, 99% of the time, when an IP editor removes a sockpuppeteering notice from an account, it is the abusive editor returning to continue his abusive edits. The exceptions are rare, but it looks like this situation is an exception.
If you have not used the account Niranjandeshmukh (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), then I assume that account should stay blocked for impersonation of you? —C.Fred (talk) 13:42, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi C.Fred. I have used the account (User:Niranjandeshmukh) for all other contributions (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Niranjandeshmukh), except the T.P.Lahane page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T._P._Lahane).

The only reason there exist edits on that page under my username (User:Niranjandeshmukh) & the allegations of socking thereof are because my account got hacked. I have not edited that page ever. So I request you to remove the edits in my name (User:Niranjandeshmukh) on that page & let me edit wikipedia in a secure way by unblocking that account & letting me change the password or giving some other form of secure access login like google does. I promise to be very careful with my password & never let this happen again. If you cannot do that, atleast don't malign me by putting my name on the User:Soundofthesea page. User:Niranjandeshmukh — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.63.1.81 (talk) 04:24, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not

I am not under a 1RR restriction. Regardless, my actions were based solely on BLP guidelines and stated as much in every edit summary I completed while the edit warring over unsourced or unreliably sourced content was occurring. I commented on the article talk page, asked for page protection in the way of Pending Changes status almost immediately, and then asked for FPP when it was obvious PC was not going to help. Should I read your query on Helper's talk page to mean that you are trying to find a reason to block me for edit warring or was it about something else? -- WV 01:08, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Winkelvi: There's one of three things going on: (1) You're under a valid 1RR and violated it; (2) you're not under a valid 1RR, and Helper honestly misinterpreted the situation; or (3) you're not under a valid 1RR, and Helper intentionally misinterpreted the situation. (1) could lead to a block, (2) is no-harm no-foul, and (3) could result in a block but more likely a sound trouting. :) —C.Fred (talk) 01:16, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I understand. Thanks for the explanation. -- WV 01:19, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I can add some do some search and find some journals when e-auction 3.0 was mentioned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pasha1443 (talkcontribs) 16:48, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy Deletion of Arturo Pacheco

To make a long story Short, I saw that Arturo Pacheco didn't have an article. I made an article using another Wikipedia and a smart friend who was with me at the time to help me. My friend said I didn't have to list him in the Credits. I don't understand how I provided false information. Dermond975 (talk) 01:06, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Dermond975: I don't understand how you provided true information. You need to cite reliable sources, especially in biography articles, and especially with claims like somebody wanting to make the Philippines part of the US. The claims in your article were so extreme as to make me conclude that the article was fake. —C.Fred (talk) 01:32, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I said I used one the the Wikipedia articles about the 51st state. (Dermond975 (talk) 02:41, 6 July 2016 (UTC)).[reply]

Also, why didn't you tell me to cite my sources? You just deleted just because the (actually true) facts that I provided were concluded "fake" with no reason at all. (Dermond975 (talk) 21:57, 6 July 2016 (UTC))[reply]

I did. See above. —C.Fred (talk) 23:35, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Anonymous IP vandal

I'm sure you mean well by removing my template, but this anonymous IP user is a repeat vandal on Omro, Wisconsin and I am getting tired of fixing it. I am just trying to take recommended steps. lease don't just remove the template I added, put it in its proper place. Thanks!! LaurentianShield (talk) 02:29, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@LaurentianShield: I did put it in its proper place, at the bottom of the page. —C.Fred (talk) 02:45, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks! Sorry. LaurentianShield (talk) 02:47, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Further explanation: I am new to this egregious vandal thing. Usually I just "undo" when it is once or twice, but this person is obviously playing games. I did a request for protection, and it was denied -- for the right reasons. However, I do want to go through the recommended steps. I don't have that much vested in this particular article, but the anonymous user is clearly testing the limits and I do care the Wikipedia does not look "rinky dink". LaurentianShield (talk) 02:56, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@LaurentianShield: I've added the page to my watchlist, so if it happens again, I'll see it and can (1) clean it up and (2) warn or otherwise sanction the vandal. —C.Fred (talk) 03:25, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

James R Moriarty

Please return the new information added to the wiki page James R Moriarty. There is no COI... nothing was deleted... only added with references. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wayne Dolcefino (talkcontribs) 07:03, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Wayne Dolcefino: Let's talk about the conflict of interest first, and let's focus on the image. You added an image (File:James R Moriarty.png) to the article James R. Moriarty. You claimed it as your own work, but the image is located on Moriarty's firm's website. Are you admitting that you scraped the image from the website and that it it is not your own work? —C.Fred (talk) 14:25, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Need Help Creating a Page and stop from deletion and banned.

Hello C.Fred!

As you may know, I am trying to create a page about a musician (who is not me, as I can provide proof) and it keeps getting deleted even though I’ve revised it multiple times and added sources and now it’s locked (by you I think lol). Could you help me meet the requirements to make it on wiki such as revision and anything else it may need? I am not trying to promote or advertise this musician (who is not me), just an autobiography as I really do think this person matters. I have the article saved.

-Thanks

(Mrsunshine93 (talk) 20:51, 6 July 2016 (UTC))[reply]

@Mrsunshine93: First, you need to provide reliable sources, which really should be totally independent of the subject. Of the three sources you added, two are just interviews, so they're tricky to use to show notability. The third source, I can't get to the masthead of to evaluate whether it's reliable.
Really, you need to make sure the subject meets WP:MUSIC and make sure it's clear from the article how they do. Charted single? State it front and center. National tour? State it and cite it, preferably to a major source like Billboard. —C.Fred (talk) 23:41, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I am new to wikipedia my apoliges for any mistakes but I did not delete anyone by my own comments — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ellenmahmood (talkcontribs) 00:33, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Iehovah NOT FOUND IN THE KJV [1] in Exodus 6:3. CITE AND REFERENCE YOUR SOURCE — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ellenmahmood (talkcontribs) 00:39, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Ellenmahmood: My source is the King James Version of the Bible.[2] Same place it's been the last two times I mentioned it. —C.Fred (talk) 01:00, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I see here http://www.kjvtoday.com/home/jehovah-or-yahweh-in-exodus-63-et-al how Jahovah was added to the Hebrew texts which is why Jehovah is in the King James Bible thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ellenmahmood (talkcontribs) 21:12, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Chase Chrisley

Hi C.Fred. Would you mind taking a look at Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions#How do I know if my submission has been apporved? when you have some time? I think there was an improper copy-and-paste move made by a new editor which might require a history merge or something. The editor has only been active since yesterday, so I'm assuming they just didn't know any better. Anyway, I'm posting here since (1) your an admin and (2) you've edited Chase Chrisley. FWIW, I don't think that the subject meets GNG, but that's a separate matter for another discussion. Thanks in advance. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:53, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Marchjuly: I also don't think the subject meets GNG; that's why I just redirected the article back to the reality show he's appeared on. —C.Fred (talk) 00:54, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine and I saw that. Does there still need to be a history merge? I'm not too familiar with the process so not sure if one is needed. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:56, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I moved it back to Draft: and merged the history. —C.Fred (talk) 01:00, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you C.Fred. Could any editor have done something like that or did it need to be done by an admin? -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:02, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Because it involved deleting and undeleting, that had to be done by an admin. —C.Fred (talk) 01:29, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

User:Niezwmxa Boro

Hi, leaving you this message as you are the last admin to have dealings with the above user. Having had reason to visit the user's user page User:Niezwmxa Boro, it is clear that (probably innocently) they have a ton of userboxes and categories suggesting wiki-rights that they clearly don't have. I'm not sure of the rights and wrongs of editing another user's pages, so am asking you what the approach should be? Cheers, 15:43, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Edit to add: I think User:Br. Nijwmsa is probably the same user - again probably innocently adding potential sockpuppetry into the equation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gricehead (talkcontribs) 15:45, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I want fully protected

I want make my userpage as fully protected..so please make it fully protected!Nijwmsa Boro (talk) 03:06, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Br. Nijwmsa: First, there's been no vandalism to your user page, so there's no reason to fully protect it. Second, if it were fully protected, you would not be able to edit. Are you sure that's what you want? —C.Fred (talk) 03:08, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

can you make it semi protected ?Nijwmsa Boro (talk) 03:13, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Br. Nijwmsa: That may still leave you unable to edit the page. And again, why does it need to be protected? There's not been any vandalism. —C.Fred (talk) 03:14, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
nevertheless make it semi protected.Nijwmsa Boro (talk) 03:26, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Br. Nijwmsa: Again, what's the need for protection? —C.Fred (talk) 03:28, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

protection from other users from edit.Nijwmsa Boro (talk) 03:33, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Br. Nijwmsa: Again, semi-protection would leave your user page open to editing by a lot of other people, but not you. I don't think that's what you want.
Now, if there were a situation where your user page were being vandalized by new accounts, then I'd consider semi-protecting it. —C.Fred (talk) 03:36, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

OKNijwmsa Boro (talk) 03:40, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

U.N.Academy, Barpeta Road

I want to make my page/Article U.N.Academy, Barpeta Road as semi or fully protected...please do it..now its no need to edit..so please...!Nijwmsa Boro (talk) 03:55, 9 July 2016 (UTC) -[reply]

@Br. Nijwmsa: First, it is not your page—see WP:OWN. You aren't even the original editor who created the page; another account created it. Second, the article needs improved, so the more editors who can contribute, the better the page will be. Finally, there hasn't been significant disruption on the article that would require protection. —C.Fred (talk) 03:58, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Niezwmxa Boro is too my account. so please do it ..please please please!!!!Nijwmsa Boro (talk) 04:02, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia

This is wikipedia is losing its popular because of people like you!! i have request wikipedia to create a wiki page for almost 4 months but it keeps deleting my page !!! even i meet all the requiments !! My wikipedia page Mustapha Kamel — Preceding unsigned comment added by MustaphaKamel (talkcontribs) 16:46, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@MustaphaKamel: I don't see where you've made a request at Wikipedia:Articles for creation. You've tried to create an article at Almost There Records, but you never demonstrated that the company is significant or important per WP:CORP. Really, because of your conflict of interest, you should not try to create the article; if you can show the company is significant, make the request at AfC and let an independent editor start the article. —C.Fred (talk) 16:50, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Click i already requested to create a wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Requested_articles/music/Performers,_bands_and_songwriters&action=edit&section=3 — Preceding unsigned comment added by MustaphaKamel (talkcontribs) 16:55, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
