The source cited did NOT show that he is the tallest ever, at least not yet. It said he is 6'11" and possibly growing. Ivo Karlovic (per Wiki) also is 6'11". John Isner's web info says he's 6'10" but I believe he is taller than that.

Reilly Opelka (born August 28, 1997 in St. Joseph, Michigan) is an American tennis player. He is one of the tallest players ever on the ATP Tour at 6'11+"[1] and can serve in the mid-130 mph range.[2][3] He is a former Junior Wimbledon champion.

Personal life

Opelka lives in Palm Coast, Florida.[4]

Junior career

Opelka won the 2015 Junior Wimbledon tournament, defeating World No. 1 Taylor Fritz en route to beating Mikael Ymer in the final,[4][2] and reached the finals of the Boys' Doubles event (with Akira Santillan) at the 2015 Wimbledon Championships.[5]

Professional career

2016

In August 2016, Opelka won his first three career ATP matches at the BB&T Atlanta Open to reach the semi-finals at just his 3rd career ATP event. This included a victory over fellow 200-cm player No. 27 Kevin Anderson in which he saved two match points on Anderson's serve. Opelka lost in the semi-finals to top seeded John Isner.
