Giraffic is a company that develops "Adaptive Video Acceleration” (AVA(tm)) software that attempts to improve the performance of streaming video.[1] It sells primarily to OTT Video Apps Providers, as well as to Consumer Electronics Device Manufacturers, such as Samsung.[2][3]

History

The company was founded in 2008 by Gil Gat, Boris Malamud and Yoel Zanger. Prior to founding Giraffic, Yoel Zanger co-founded New-Tone Technologies, a value-added services platform for mobile applications based on advanced voice and data technologies.[4] Yoel Zanger is CEO and Rotem Epelbaum is the VP R&D. Giraffic is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel and has offices in the United States, Korea and Hong Kong. Directors & Advisors include Menashe Rothschild, Jeffrey Parkinson, Bhupen Shah, Anton Monk, Gregg Bernard, Mitch Singer and Levy Gerzberg. Investors include KEC Ventures and Previz Ventures.[5][6][7][8]
