Hi Blueclaw, I am a bit puzzled by your edit of February 12th 2017 on Michael I. Jordan's page and just wanted some clarifications from you. I am referring to this edit. In full disclosure: I am in conflict of interest with this article (as one of Mike's past PhD students), and so should not directly edit it. In your edit summary, you mention that the "notable student" paragraph sounded "like an advertisement". I acknowledge that perhaps the wording could have been made better to not sound like this, but on the other hand I think it is specifically notable about Mike that he has produced one of the most influential dynasty of students in (academic) machine learning. I also wonder what criteria you used to select the subset to include in the infobox? Moreover, why did you add somebody who was not even listed originally? Many thanks for you thoughts on this! Regards, Simon Lacoste-Julien (talk) 23:22, 6 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi Blueclaw, I am a bit puzzled by your edit of February 12th 2017 on Michael I. Jordan's page and just wanted some clarifications from you. I am referring to this edit.
