Hillsboro Municipal Airport (FAA LID: 3H4) is a public use airport located three nautical miles (6 km) south of the central business district of Hillsboro, a city in Traill County, North Dakota, United States. It is owned by the Hillsboro Municipal Airport Authority.[1]

This airport is included in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility.[2]

Facilities and aircraft

Hillsboro Municipal Airport covers an area of 55 acres (22 ha) at an elevation of 906 feet (276 m) above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 16/34 with an asphalt surface measuring 3,301 by 60 feet (1,006 x 18 m).[1]

For the 12-month period ending September 30, 2010, the airport had 14,670 aircraft operations, an average of 40 per day: 98% general aviation, 2% air taxi, and <1% military. At that time there were 22 single-engine aircraft based at this airport.[1]
