Lippmann Moses Büschenthal (1784 in Strassbourg – 27 December 1818) was a German rabbi, poet and dramatist. His biography is not well known, and conflicting statements regarding his life are found; he appears to have lived in Breslau from c. 1814, and moving to Berlin, where he may have become chief rabbi, shortly before his death.[1]

He published mainly poetry, including Hebrew translations of German poetry, and one dramatic work. He also wrote for the journals Sulamith, Jedidja and Rheinische Blätter. A collection of short tales was published posthumously.
