:::{{ping|NeilN}} I'm familiar with WP:COMMONNAME. Given that you are invoking policy and reverting other editor's edits, the onus is on you to prove that Czech Republic is the most commonly name used. Information icon Hello, I'm NeilN. An edit that you recently made to List of countries by suicide rate seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

The name of the country in English is Czech Republic --NeilN talk to me 03:24, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@NeilN:That was not a test edit. Czechia is also the name of the country in English. Please read Name of the Czech Republic. And remember that Wikipedia encourages editors to be bold. Thinker78 (talk) 01:35, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Thinker78: Being bold is encouraged. Continuing to edit after being told to stop and why is not. --NeilN talk to me 01:39, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@NeilN: Ok, I'm telling you to stop trying to own articles, per WP:OWN. That doesn't sound very nice does it. But really, read what that link says. You were in the wrong putting that warning about test edits. For some reason you don't want to own your mistake that you didn't know that Czechia was an actual name of the country. Cheers! Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at List of countries by intentional homicide rate by decade. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. NeilN talk to me 03:27, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with @NeilN:. I don't think that was an unconstructive edit. It was simply a bold edit. I think NeilN didn't know that Czechia is the other name of the Czech Republic. Thinker78 (talk) 23:05, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Thinker78: Please read the WP:COMMONNAME policy. Repeatedly editing against policy is unconstructive. --NeilN talk to me 23:52, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:

If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (2001:14BA:2BE5:EE00:14C4:3CD1:E951:AC3C) is used to identify you instead.

I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit.
