While Nicolet High School's foreign language department had been considered one of the best in the greater milwaukee area, it has begun to shrink. It once offered French, Spanish, German, Latin, and Hebrew. Now, Latin is not offered, and Hebrew will be taught for only 3 more years. In addition, the French program has received significant cuts. Spanish, which is the dominant language at Nicolet, is taught by more than 4 teachers, and easily overshadows the other languages.
