Campus

The British School, Warsaw Early Years Centre is located in Stary Mokotów district and caters for children from age 2 ½ to 6. The Centre is on ul. Dabrowskiego, where classrooms are surrounded by a large playground, garden and wooded area. The British School’s Primary and Secondary campus, for students from 6 years up to age 18 is located on ul. Limanowskiego in Sadyba.[1]

Early Years Centre

The British School Early Years Centre is designed around a central hall, with classes grouped by age. There is a gymnasium hall and a separate music room. The class teachers are supported by a specialist English Learning Support teacher as well as a Learning Support Teacher. The outdoor facilities of the school include play equipment.

Main Campus

The British School main site offers facilities including: Primary and Secondary Libraries; IB Learning Centre for senior students; indoor and outdoor play facilities; sports halls; art rooms; music technology suite, music rooms and practice rooms; science laboratories and ICT suites and mobile computer facilities, linked to a wireless (wi-fi) system across the school. Each subject of the secondary school and International Baccalaureate curriculum has its own base, with Subject Zones replacing the Year Zones of the Primary school. Students can extend their learning through Moodle, an on-line learning community. They can access the Global Classroom.[1]

Alun Yorath - Headmaster[2]

Alun Yorath was educated at Monmouth School, one of the oldest school in Wales. His experience includes: Magdalen College School, Oxford the top all-boys’ school in the UK at the time and St Paul’s Girls’ School, London, arguably the leading UK school for the last 20 years.

Dr Jacek Łatkowski - Dep. Headmaster[2]

He began his teaching career in 1989 when he took a post as a science teacher in Canada.  After a couple of years of teaching in Canada, Łatkowski decided to travel to Europe by accepting a post at an international school in Munich, Germany. He has been an IB inspector, examiner and workshop leader and I have written a Pre-IB Mathematics book.

Alison Fox - Head Of Secondary[2]

Miss Fox has a degree from Leeds University in English and French. She began her teaching career over 12 years ago and has taught in both international and UK schools. During her time in Warsaw she have been Deputy Subject Leader in English and Head of Year 7.

Louis Bezodis - Dep. Head of Secondary[2]

Born and brought up in South West London, he obtained his degree in Geography from Cambridge University, before spending a year as Deputy President of Cambridge University Students Union and then completing a post graduate teaching certificate at Exeter University. Over twenty years later and Bezodis has thoroughly enjoyed teaching in international schools in Qatar, Thailand and Saudi Arabia.

Mark Stimpson - Geography[2]

Former police man gone rogue. Mark comes from Glasgow where he completed a undergraduate degree in Geography in 1997 and a post-graduate certificate in secondary education (PGCE) at Strathclyde University in 2002.
