Hi! Welcome to my talk page.

Please read these policies before posting.

  • Always sign your messages with ~~~~. Please do not post if you are not going to do this.
  • Please do not respond to other people's messages here. This has the effect of spilling disputes from other pages onto my talk page, and it is very distracting for me. This talk page is for messages to me, not to the other people who have written here.
  • Please create a new heading for new subjects. To respond to a message under the same subject, find the applicable heading below, press the "Edit" button on the right, and add your message to that section.
  • Responses will go to your talk page. If you reply to me on your own talk page - I will probably never see it; since I do not monitor every single usertalk page I comment on.

Click here to leave me a new message. Also, please remember to always sign your messages with ~~~~

My RfA

Thank you for supporting my RfA, and for simultaneously providing a laugh with your comment!

Well, it's been a week now that I've been an administrator and I'd like to take this moment to once again thank everyone who supported my RfA, and to let you all know that I don't think I've screwed anything up yet so I hope I'm living up to everyone's expectations for me. But if I ever fall short of those expectations, I'd certainly welcome folks telling me about it!

Gary Kirk's RfA

RfA thanks

Thank you very much for your support in my RfA, which passed on October 17, 2006 with a tally of 53/6/0. I am equally elated and humbled by my new capacity as administrator of Wikipedia, and I send my heartfelt thanks for your unflinching support. If you need me for anything, just ask me! With gratitude, 210physicq (c) 04:04, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA thanks

Hi, Themindset! Thank you for supporting me in my RfA, which succeeded with a final tally of 75/0/1! I hope I can live up to the standards of adminship, and I will try my best to make Wikipedia a better place. Feel free to send me a message if you need any assistance. :)

My RfA

Announcement: It's an administrator!

Themindset, thanks for your support on my request for adminship.

The final outcome was a robust 62/1/1, so I am now an administrator. If you ever have any questions about my actions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks again, Chris Griswold

Thank you

My administratorship candidacy succeeded with a final tally of 81/0/1. I appreciate your support. Results are at Wikipedia:Recently_created_admins#Durova. Warmly, Durova 21:23, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WP:RFA/Cynical

Thank you for contributing to my RFA. Unfortunately it failed (final tally 26/17/3). As a result of the concerns raised in my RFA, I intend to undergo coaching, get involved in the welcoming committee and try to further improve the quality of my contributions to AFD and RFA. All the best. Cynical 14:58, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi themindset. I noticed in your rfa criteria that you've seen "many users show up and rack up 3500 edits in under a month, and then vanish." You have me interested, because I've certainly never seen any. So out of curiousity, could you point to some of these users? Thanks. Picaroon9288 02:30, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA

Hey themindset,

I just wanted to thank you for your support in my recent request for adminship, which passed unanimously with a final tally of 38/0/0. I appreciate your trust, and will do my best to uphold it. Don't hesitate to let me know if you ever need anything. — TKD::Talk 05:30, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Talk archives

Hello. I stumbled upon your talk page. I wasn't sure if you were interested or not but you can put your archives in an Archive Box ({{archive box}}) like on my talk page. It makes it look a little nicer. AndreniW 04:22, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

I've finally had the time squeezed in during my long Wikibreak to thank the voters and commenters on my my RfA last month, and I thank you! I'll try again as previously planned in spring, in the time period between my high school graduation and enrollment in a university. This time, I'll have time to "prepare" (and not be on Wikibreak next time). Hopefully I'll win it easily. I'll be back to the Wikipedia soon, visting xfD everyday in addition. I was glad to see that you wrote a bit on why you were neutral on my nomination, unlike many on the page. What exactly is enough experience for you, in an RfA? Do you have any tips or suggestions for me on being a good Wikipedian or administrator? Thanks again, X [Mac Davis] (SUPERDESK|Help me improve)08:40, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

One Question

Could I ask you about this edit? If you notice, it wasn't me, but Radiant! who added the historical tag, almost a week ago. -Royalguard11(Talk·Desk) 00:10, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image replaced

Hi, I've listed your image Image:2+2.png for deletion as it's been replaced by a vector version, Image:2+2.svg. Just wanted to inform you – hope this is OK. Happy editings, –Mysid(t) 12:50, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

I believe you are confusing me for somebody else. I have not recently (or indeed, to my best recall, ever) deleted any standards page. >Radiant< 15:15, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for your concern, but I believe that when a page is considered for deletion, rewriting or improving it is a good idea. Many pages on e.g. AFD are "saved" by an editor who rewrites them to address the concerns of the community. >Radiant< 08:50, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

International Guidance Awareness Program Sponsored Discussion

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
