Kingdom (Japanese: キングダム, Hepburn: Kingudamu) is an upcoming 2019 Japanese adventure, fantasy, historical live-action film adaptation of a manga series of the same name. Written and illustrated by Yasuhisa Hara, the story provides a fictionalised account of the Warring States Period, primarily through the experiences of the war orphan Xin and his comrades. Xin fights to become the greatest general under the heavens and, in doing so, unifies China for the first time in history.
The film is directed by Shinsuke Sato and distributed by Toho in Japan and Columbia Pictures worldwide. The film will be released in theatres on 19 April 2019. [1]
