Shashank Vyas (born 30 November 1986 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh) is an Indian actor and model. He is known for playing the role of Dr. Jagdish Singh in the longest-running show Balika Vadhu. Currently, he is playing the lead character of Roopendra Singh Vaghela in Colors TV's Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop. Early life
Shashank was born on 30 November 1986 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. He graduated from Maharaja Ranjit Singh College, Indore and started studying for MBA entrance exams. But later he moved on to pursue his acting career upon the encouragement of a friend.
Career
Shashank Vyas made his debut with the lead role, Jagdish/Jagya in Colors's serial Balika Vadhu in July 2010. His performance in the show earned him critical and people's praise and he became one of the most favorite television actors of India. After playing Jagdish in Balika Vadhu for five years, Shashank quit the show in July 2015. His last episode was aired on 8 August 2015; he was replaced by Shakti Anand. He next appeared in the lead role of an army officer Captain Ravish Vashisth, in Star Plus's show Jaana Na Dil Se Door.[3] In early July 2018, it was announced that he was cast as a lead in the new show Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop as Roopendra Roop Singh Vaghela.[4]
